A helping hand with the Queen’s Green Canopy

With just a few weeks to go to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations we’ve been busy booking in guests for the long bank holiday weekend and planning where to hang the bunting as you’d expect, but we’ve also been getting our wellies on and finding our shovels…

Why? It’s all to do with the Jubilee but in true Bloom Stays style, we decided to swerve the cake and tea parties this time and do something a bit greener.

As part of the platinum jubilee celebrations we are supporting one of the causes the Queen has championed to be a key part of the celebrations. The Queen’s Green Canopy is encouraging everyone to plant a tree, or trees in our gardens, public parks, schools, places of worship or places of work. We thought it was a brilliant cause to support at the same time as celebrating the Queens’ Platinum Jubilee.

Nicky and I decided to offer all our Bloom Stays owners the chance to have a Kent grown fruit or potted tree to plant in their gardens. The trees are all being sent out this week so they have a bit of time to grow used to their new surroundings. We’ve even ordered some plaques (in true Royal tree planting fashion) so in the future our owners and their guests will know why its there.

We can’t wait to share the fruits of our labour with you. We wish Her Majesty a very happy Platinum Jubilee and all of you a happy time over the coming holiday.
