Lazy days will drift by as lovebirds enjoy gentle jaunts to the coast or country rambles, so rare is it to find the two entwined in one location while four-legged friends bound alongside with joyous abandon in the enclosed paddock garden. The coast path is a twenty minute walk away and possibly one of the most spectacular viewings spots on the coast. The Warren is an all year pet friendly beach and cockles and winkles and crabbing catching can be enjoyed before your journey back home. Folkestone is home to the Sunny Sands, a small but lovely light sandy beach, with arches that go back to Victorian times. The beach can be enjoyed at varying points to see the tides as they draw right up to the arches and reach back out far into the bay. The harbour offers a choice of eateries, cafes and ice cream shop as well as the renowned Rocksalt wine bar and restaurant (bookings are a must!) The new Harbour arm is a walk back in time to see and experience life in war time when the troops were collected by ships to sail into battle. The entire Dover to Folkestone coast is packed with war time history. Today the arm is full of trendy street stall cafes, wine bars and entertainment. The old high street and the creative quarter welcomes you to some trendy shops and art galleries. With so much in Folkestone to enjoy you will have a jam packed weekend and for those looking to see more the neighbouring town of Hythe has the miniature railway, the military canal with romantic boat hire and Port Lympne animal reserve park. In the winter months you can watch the weather change from the inside Channel View, and get great views of the storms and windy seas! Channel View really is an all year round place to stay.
Folkestone is located by the Eurotunnel in Cheriton and also the Dover docks - both within 15 minutes drive from Channel View. London is less than 1.5 hours drive away and trains go in to Ashford International directly then taxi or into Folkestone Central.
