Embrace the vibrancy of coastal sunsets, the scent of wild fauna across the hills and the tranquillity and peace in this trendy, hotel inspired chalet set high up on the hills overlooking the sea of Dover to Folkestone.
With uninterrupted views across the channel take some well-deserved ‘me-time’ with a solo break or whisk your beloved away for a romantic getaway (with room for your loyal pooch too).?
Welcome the day with breakfast on the terrace enjoying watching the world slowly waking up. Just a short walk (20 mins) down to the beach, fill your days with seaside air, and great places to eat and drink. For some romantic inspiration, stargazing in summer will be a dream, whilst in winter months there's nothing better than winter walks in wellies with your dog by your side, also enjoying the hot tub whilst watching the roaming pot belly pig and pony from the comfort of steaming hot water. Many may just wish to curl up on the comfy sofas with the complimentary fizz in hand awaiting your evening meal delivery or rustle up a simple meal using the air fryer / microwave. A hotel inspired service with a smile is on hand to collect your tray of evening plates and glassware which is readily returned for you in the morning. Now that's good service! Have afternoon tea arranged for a loved one, may you'd like balloons on arrival or a present laid out ready on the terrace.

Lazy days will drift by as lovebirds enjoy gentle jaunts to the coast or country rambles, so rare is it to find the two entwined in one location while four-legged friends bound alongside with joyous abandon in the enclosed paddock garden. The coast path is a twenty minute walk away and possibly one of the most spectacular viewings spots on the coast. The Warren is an all year pet friendly beach and cockles and winkles and crabbing catching can be enjoyed before your journey back home. Folkestone is home to the Sunny Sands, a small but lovely light sandy beach, with arches that go back to Victorian times. The beach can be enjoyed at varying points to see the tides as they draw right up to the arches and reach back out far into the bay. The harbour offers a choice of eateries, cafes and ice cream shop as well as the renowned Rocksalt wine bar and restaurant (bookings are a must!) The new Harbour arm is a walk back in time to see and experience life in war time when the troops were collected by ships to sail into battle. The entire Dover to Folkestone coast is packed with war time history. Today the arm is full of trendy street stall cafes, wine bars and entertainment. The old high street and the creative quarter welcomes you to some trendy shops and art galleries. With so much in Folkestone to enjoy you will have a jam packed weekend and for those looking to see more the neighbouring town of Hythe has the miniature railway, the military canal with romantic boat hire and Port Lympne animal reserve park. In the winter months you can watch the weather change from the inside Channel View, and get great views of the storms and windy seas! Channel View really is an all year round place to stay.
Folkestone is located by the Eurotunnel in Cheriton and also the Dover docks - both within 15 minutes drive from Channel View. London is less than 1.5 hours drive away and trains go in to Ashford International directly then taxi or into Folkestone Central.
nice and cozy place plus very friendly host 5/5
I had a wonderful experience at this place! The cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home, and the host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even allowed us to check out late, which was a huge help. The highlight of the stay was definitely the jacuzzi - it was fantastic! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

A wonderfully appointed, chic, costal hideaway with breath-taking views and fabulous hosts. 5/5
Channel View is nothing short of perfect for a coastal get away that balances a rural and secluded retreat with a chic and modern living space. Super well appointed, every little detail has been thought of to make the stay exactly what you want to it, be that a cosy hideaway through to a fun and comfortable base for some local coastal exporting. We only booked to stay for a night to getaway and it delivered everything we needed and then some. The chilled Prosecco on arrival, the perfect temperature of the hot tub, the stylish décor, the breath-taking views and the incredibly welcoming hosts made the trip utterly incredible. Some online reviews made me nervous that people had ended up being on holiday with the hosts but actually while engaging and informative, friendly and communicative Sonia and Lee really respect your privacy and space 100%. They make you feel like they always on hand if you need anything but equally you are left to enjoy your escape in peace if you choose to. I booked this trip as a little last minutes surprise for my fiancé as we love the sea, rural landscapes and to relax in a nice environment. Channel View and Sonia and Lee delivered this to the highest available standards and it was well beyond what I could have wished for. Next time we need to escape, we will be back here in a heartbeat and hopefully for a few days rather than just the 1 !

Nothing short of perfect 4.8/5
Had the best stay here. Starting with a message from the hosts to check what sort of goodies wed like on arrival, everything we needed was taken care of. The place was absolutely gorgeous and furnished beautifully, with stunning views over the channel. My partner was blown away for her surprise weekend away. The hot tub and getting to say hello to the hosts pet pot bellied pig and Shetland pony was the icing on the cake. Would definitely come back again 🙂

We stayed at Channel View with two dogs for 2 nights. Had a great welcome, everything was thought about for us and the dogs. The homeowners are very friendly and makes you feel at home. The place is immaculate & the views are breathtaking, if I could attach a picture of the sunset I would.

Thanks for the amazing stay. A beautiful place, even (especially?) in the dark & during a storm.
Loved meeting Nelly & Star and the horses across the road. Surprisingly little Buddy the dog loved meeting them as well and he was wagging his tale frantically.
Went to folkestone, Dungeness & Hastings/St Leonards which were all fantastic K & P!

Channel View proves that you don't need to fly away to another country to find idyllic oasis. Our two night mini-moon really has made our wedding weekend even more memorable. With breath-taking views of the channel on one side, and views of the rolling North Downs on the other, its hard to believe we are a 20 minute drive away from our home. The house is decorated beautifully and with the hot tub, this stay really has felt like luxury. But most of all its the warmth and friendliness of Sonia & Lee that's made this gorgeous space feel like home. Thank you for having us and we have already planned to come back every anniversary! So see you all again next year!

Dear Sonia & Lee, this place is just perfect! Its like a little spot of secret heaven. You are honestly the best hosts we have come across and as mentioned many times before in this book, you have thought about every detail and we've had everything we could possible need.
You've been so welcoming and also made us feel like we've got all the privacy in the world! Its a hard balance to get but you've got it just right but you've got it just right!
