Situated at the heart of the enchanting village of Smarden, sits the utterly charming, Grade II listed Hadley Cottage. Steeped in historic charm, the village of Smarden offers an idyllic sense of timelessness amongst the beautiful Kent countryside, surrounded by miles of unspoilt walks, and with a choice of not one but three village pubs within a short walk.

When you think of a cottage in the countryside, one may imagine beamed ceilings, picture postcard cottage windows and large inglenook with roaring wood burner, well Hadley Cottage offers all this and more, steeped in quaint character and beautifully finished. Winters evenings will undoubtedly be spent cosying around the wood burner, whether that be with a favourite book or with a competitive game amongst family or friends, yet come Summer throw open the door from the kitchen to the enclosed garden with firepit and gas barbecue, and soak in the fresh countryside air whilst enjoying your evening meal al fresco with local sourced ingredients from the nearby independent butchers. Back inside, the fully equipped kitchen with dining area for six has been wonderfully equipped with all you could need for when meals in the comfort of the cottage take your fancy. Upstairs the character continues, with three charming bedrooms set over two floors, a double bedroom with original beams and a light filled twin bedroom, with a Master double bedroom tucked away on the second floor, sharing in an exquisitely refurbished bathroom.

Should you be able to draw yourself away from the beauty of the countryside there is so much to see and do nearby, with the coast at Hythe a 30 minute drive away, and attractions such as Sissinghurst Castle Garden a 15 minute drive away, as well as historic Leeds Castle - a firm family favourite, 10 minutes further. Hadley Cottage is ideally placed for exploring this wonderful area of Kent further.
