Think thatched chocolate box cottage overlooking rolling Kent countryside and then think pink! Raspberry Cottage in Ripple (where else?) dates from 1564 and has beams, a log fire and tons of character thanks to a contemporary make over with quirky decor, carefully curated furniture and a stunning recently built kitchen and shower room extension.

There are two double bedrooms with one having an additional single sofa bed, a cosy lounge with open fireplace plus a separate dining room with large pine table perfect for a candlelit supper for two or a slap up family meal.
A special surprise awaits in one of the two shower rooms…a bespoke glass image of the legendary Audrey Hepburn to keep you company. Combined with silver monkeys and pink roses on the wallpaper upstairs, and an eye-popping pink overcoat outside Raspberry Cottage is absolutely, utterly and gorgeously unique!

Naturally there’s all the usual stuff like plenty of quality kitchen equipment, Smart TV, board games and a great selection of vintage books too if you get bored with the views. Oh and don’t forget to say Hi to Winston, the cottage’s very own custom made teddy. He’s super-friendly.

Now what to do when you aren't having a cosy evening by the fire, well a minutes' walk will take you to the nearby and friendly, country pub, serving traditional fare and with a garden for meals outside and come daytime Solley's Ice Cream Parlour and Farm is a few minutes walk the other way. Days out are plentiful, with the award winning creative seaside town of Deal a 10 minute drive way - brimming with interesting independent shops, art galleries, restaurants and cafes to explore, a pebble beach and pier, whilst historic Dover castle and Betteshanger Park (fantastic for kids!) are a short drive away.

So think pink and have yourself a holiday to remember at Raspberry Cottage. And don’t forget to let Winston know you are coming…he’ll put the kettle on.

Great cottage 5/5

Very cosy cottage. Well furnished. Great location near Deal and within east reach of many other Kent destinations. Big garden. Good parking. Enjoyable stay.

A quaint experience 4.2/5

We done a 3 night stay at raspberry cottage and enjoyed every moment of it. The location is excellent, it’s only a 10 minute drive to Deal seafront which has a really lovely little highstreet with plenty of shops and cafes with some traditional pubs along the beach road. The views around the cottage are great, the pictures don’t really do it justice. There’s a lovely long garden with a bbq at the end. The kitchen and shower rooms are situated in the new extension so they’re really modern and have everything you need. The other rooms have more of a nostalgic feel to them, with quaint decor and antiques. Both bedrooms are a decent size with very comfy beds and enough storage for unpacking and putting away clothes etc… (be mindful of all of the spiders, they’re everywhere but harmless, it’s to be expected with a thatched roof cottage) overall the stay at raspberry cottage exceeded our expectations and there really isn’t anything to fault, we would definitely stay here again.
