Beautiful beach front location 5/5
We had such a wonderful stay at wave coottage. Waking up to sea vies did wonders for our family. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of homely touches throughout. We can't wait to come back next year.

The perfect getaway 4.8/5
My daughter, 8-year-old granddaughter and myself were visiting the area for a family celebration. Wave Cottage was the perfect place to stay over - wish it could have been longer!

Instantly felt relaxed 4.8/5
Wave cottage is a light and airy, welcoming cottage by day, but warm and cosy for the evenings. The host provided much useful information before we arrived and the cottage was clean and well equipped. There were lots of bonus gifts left for us to enjoy. We felt at home instantly. The garden is where we spent most of our time as we were lucky with the weather so could have all our meals outside, watching sunsets over Dungeness to the west, and France on the horizon to the East. Sitting listening to the waves, watching the ships and ferries in the distance we quickly relaxed. Warm, soft throws were provided for when it turned a little chilly and fairy lights gave a lovely atmosphere. We loved jumping over the little wall to walk along the promenade or to pop to the cafes for a takeaway coffee and bun. Having the sea on our doorstep was the most wonderful treat.

A fantastic weekend with 2 friends and 2 dogs! 5/5
Myself, my partner and two friends went down with our dogs the weekend just gone and we had the loveliest, most relaxing stay! Sal was so so helpful with everything from restaurant bookings in Sandgate & Folkestone to everything we may need in the cottage and how to get in when we arrived etc. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with all the utensils you would need (we cooked lemon sole and spaghetti vongole with seafood from the fishmongers in folkestone) as well as a good supply of teas and coffee capsules for the coffee machine. There was even some fantastic board games, including family friendly ones! A lovely weekend and we'll be back!

Lovely three night getaway 5/5
We escaped London for a lovely three nights at Wave Cottage over the May bank holiday with our 11 month old daughter. The cottage was a perfect base to explore Kent in a great location with stunning views onto the beach that the pictures can't do justice. Sal was a perfect host and made our stay super comfortable and easy with a baby. The local tips were great - our only addition would be to get across to Whitstable too if you have the time! We'd love to come back and already have friends and family who have booked since our stay 🙂 Thanks again for a great trip.

Had a great time staying at Wave Cottage! 5/5
Wave cottage is well equipped, comfortable and very clean. The location is fabulous, and the views from the living room and patio are stunning. My husband and I really enjoyed having a coffee in the mornings while looking at the sea. We couldnÂ’t ask for a better location. We feel so lucky to have found this little treasure in the beautiful town of Folkstone. Sal was a great host, responded very quickly and was very accommodating of our needs. Overall, we were absolutely happy during our stay at Wave Cottage! Marlen & Ruben.

Wave Cottage 4.2/5
WeÂ’ve just returned from a lovely sunny week away at Wave Cottage. We were lucky enough to be the very first guests Sal was an excellent host, very communicative and very accommodating to our last minute booking! This place truly is a little slice of heaven! Gorgeous views of the sea which is literally at the end of the patio/garden area. Our girls loved climbing over the wall and they were immediately on the beach.
There are lots of places to walk to or a short drive away. We enjoyed a low key week with a couple of trips out in the car but otherwise lots of ice cream and enjoying the beach! The amazing childrens adventure playground (just a short distance around the coast ) was also a big hit with our girls, a lovely place all in all!

Thank you! Although it has been a working 'holiday' we have really enjoyed being so close to the sea, and will definitely recommend Wave Cottage to our family and friends. It is decorated/furnished beautifully. We even got to have breakfast outside a few times.

What a wonderful cottage! We have enjoyed the cosy indoors as well as the last of the summer sun in the garden.
Couldn't have wished for a better location. Although we are far from home (Sydney, Aus), we feel absolutely settled and relaxed here. Would love to visit again.
Wishing you much success with Wave Cottage,

Thank you for your welcome to Wave Cottage. Your clear communications, recommendations and welcome gifts have been greatly appreciated. We've had lovely walks round Sandgate and to both Folkestone and Hythe, enjoying what they offered.
We've all enjoyed our week here - so relaxing sitting outside watching the sea and sunsets. Sandgate IS a hidden gem!

Just spent a lovely week at Wave Cottage. We loved everything about it - the location is perfect and the house is lovely.
Folkestone is just the right distance for a walk and being able to walk all the way along the seafront is a bonus. The Harbour Arm is fabulous with great places to eat. Dungeness is also a lovely day out and the Fish Hut has brilliant food.
Thank you Sal for the warm welcome, the cold rose and delivery of the highchair!

We have spent the most blissful week here in equally blissful surroundings. Wave Cottage is a true home from home especially given my husband grew up in Sandgate. We couldn’t have been luckier with our holiday being topped and tailed by the Air Show and the Sea Festival - we admired the Red Arrows and fireworks whilst perched on the garden wall.
Enormous thanks to Sal for her faultless communication. It was very much appreciated. We are of course very sad to leave.

We had a wonderful week at lovely Wave Cottage. The house is perfectly furnished and, with all the little touches like wine, milk and even fresh flowers, a wonderful arrival was already prepared for us. We loved the beautiful view and the atmosphere on the terrace and the kids were able to see the boats perfectly with the binoculars brought over for us.

Wow, what a great almost week we had @ Wave Cottage in Sandgate! The accommodation was perfect for us and the weather was stunning! We particularly loved coffee & cake @ Loaf and a great dinner + pint at the Earl of Clarendon, a bit of a hike up the hill but worth it for its lovely view ad much quieter atmosphere compared to pubs on the high street. We would have loved to have a pair of binoculars to watch the boats in the distance, but it was a pleasure just to sit by the sea! The walk to Folkestone along the promenade was relatively easy (flat) but we should have considered why we were the only 2 trekking UP the zigzag path when others only seemed to be coming down!). Lots of fun in the Creative Corner and worth the walk or easy bus trip from opposite the Cottage.

Had a great 3 night stay in Wave Cottage which coincided with a heatwave.
Thanks to Sal foe the great communication and information provided (the wine was much appreciated)!
Enjoyed a coastal walk to Folkestone which took us straight to the Harbour - which is seeing some great development work. Also took a taxi in the evening to eat in Rocksalt (highly recommended). Used Chane Tais, very reasonable and prompt.
Another great coastal walk was to Hythe - very worthwhile, nice canal and independent shops on the High Street.
Hope to return too,

“We spent 3 nights at Wave Cottage and it was bliss!
For one day, with perfect weather we did not stray from the garden and immediate beach - glorious. Our 5 year old was in heaven, esp playing with a lovely family of holidaymakers next door.
We leave feeling revived and refreshed.
Recommendation, on the High Street include the Orchard Lane Coffee House for great coffee and swedish buns and the taking time to peruse lots of lovely antique shops including Workshop number 29 and Pareglio …excellent fish and chip shop too. Had a delicious vegan lunch at Dr Legumes on Folkestone Harbour.
We hope to return! “
