From the beautiful interiors to the exceptional views over the historic Rochester Cathedral and Castle, steps away from the vibrant, cobbled high street of this charming riverside city, The Wonky House has not only captured our imagination in interior flare but our intrigue in exploring all that Rochester has to offer - and just under 40 minutes by train from the busy streets of London.

As the name conjures, the walls and floors of this unique home tell a story of their own and add to the wonderful experience of a stay at The Wonky House. Beautifully refurbished, the interiors has been fabulously designed, with warm Farrow and Ball colours mixed with gorgeous fabrics, sat alongside antique pieces and local artwork, creating a warm and boutique abode to spend a long weekend or week together.

Discovering the best of Rochester couldn’t be easier, with the Cathedral and Castle quite literally a stones throw away, the grounds of which come to life with live music events during the Summer and festivals throughout the year - with the Dickens and Christmas festival having to be one of our favourites! A thriving cultural and creative city, Rochester is distinctly intimate, with it’s long cobbled high street a vibrant mix of cosy cafes, renowned restaurants, and independent shops, meaning self catering is optional with the such a choice of eateries moments away.

Whether you are looking for a boutique break with friends, an escape from London with family or a base from which to explore Rochester, The Wonky House is a truly special place for a memorable and unique break.
