🚁 Air Ambulance Charity, Kent Surrey Sussex, (KSS) to fly higher with our latest £5K donation. 🚁 ⁠⁠As Bloom Stays recently turned 5 years old, it seemed right for us to mark this milestone by donating to our chosen charity. We have raised £5K over the past year with contributions from our wonderful guests and Bloom Stays.⁠⁠Founders, Rowena and Nicky, chose @airambulancekss as their charity of choice for a very particular reason that tells its own story. ⁠⁠🚁 In August 2020, not long after founding Bloom Stays and of course, in the middle of an extraordinary summer for holiday letting in the UK, co-founder Rowena was involved in a major life-threatening car crash in Kent where her life depended on the quick-acting crew of KSS.⁠⁠Thankfully they airlifted her to a London hospital and in doing so, saved her life. As she said at the time, it could have been a very different outcome for Rowena and her family if that service had not been available.⁠⁠Our £5000 donation will fund: ⬇️⁠- 16 missions worth of fuel (on average, KSS fly 9 missions a day)⁠- 277 heated blankets (on average KSS use 40 a month)⁠- 111 sets of defibrillator pads (KSS attended over 500 cardiac arrests last year)⁠⁠Thanks to all those who've stayed with us and contributed to this great cause, together we've made it possible to donate this amount.⁠⁠From Rowena & Nicky⁠@bloom.stays x
