Bloom Stays is a holiday letting agency specialising in Kent.

We offer special houses that we hand-pick for our guests and we work with owners who share our eye for detail and quality.

Founded in 2019, Bloom Stays is local, independent and led by Nicky and Rowena who are experienced heads in holiday letting having worked for some of the largest companies in the sector for many years.

Meet the Co-founders of Bloom Stays, Rowena and Nicky

Both of us love to travel and to host, so working within holiday lettings has always been the best version of us ‘going to work’. Moreover, getting to do this in our home county of Kent, just makes sense.

Previously we worked together for another travel business and whilst there, established the importance of supporting both owners and holidaymakers alike. However, when that merged and the brand disappeared, it was time for us to offer that same support but under our own flag. That’s where the ‘Bloom’ comes from too; we think our owners ‘bloom’ with us under our careful guidance and our guests blossom from a brilliant holiday.

Happy owners = happy houses = happy guests.

Doing Things The Bloom Stays Way

  • Our experience in holiday letting in Kent is extensive, yet our agency is deliberately small. It allows us to be hands-on, with an eye for exceptional service always.
  • There are no thorny call centres to wade through here. You choose how to contact us. Chat, email, text, message. We’ll provide a dedicated, efficient service that’s helpful, friendly and stress-free.
  • We keep you safe at Bloom Stays, working hard behind the scenes to provide secure homes, systems and tools.
  • We support other local, small businesses by partnering with them to give our guests the full experience of a holiday in the garden of England. In our Bloom Stays homes, we can organise cocktail boxes to arrive or a private wine tour to whisk you off around your choice of vineyards. We work with local businesses to provide balloons and cakes for family gatherings or just a simple dinner delivered to your door when you’re too tired from all that sightseeing.
  • Every booking we take sends a donation to the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance because that service saved Rowena’s life in 2020. Badly injured in a road traffic accident in Kent, Rowena was airlifted to hospital in London. Totally recovered now, understandably we have taken this cause to the heart of Bloom Stays and we fundraise for them year-round.

Highest of standards

Idyllic spots

Hundreds of houses might be considered, but only a handful are savoured.

We visit – and need to fall in love – before the house joins our bloom collection.

  • Any house we pick passes the test of being gorgeous, unique, and of an all-round quality standard.
  • The owner is the house’s creator, carer, and nurturer. We only work with owners who have like-minded values to us.
  • The house must be lovely. So must the setting. Kent is where we live, work and play. We only pick houses that have a spot-on location too.

Favourite places to eat and places to visit in Kent?

I love to visit our seaside towns, Broadstairs and Sandgate, along with Dungeness. For a countryside fix I love the Weald as there are so many pretty villages and places of interest.  I love to eat in The Goods Shed and The Pig, as well as lots of local pubs near to where I live – The Duke William, The Black Robin, The Tiger (Stowting), Five Bells (Brabourne).

What do you love about Kent?

I love how close we are to everything; the sea, the country and the city. Living in Canterbury means that at the weekend and holiday times, I can nip to the seaside in Whitstable to grab an ice cream, or walk into Blean Woods from my house after lunch in the city! Lots of Kent has these wonderful mixes and little gems always ready to be discovered.
