Magical light gives this magnificent seafront Margate holiday house with hot tub a charming warmth and all together relaxing stay.

The colourful, quirky space comes with the owners' joyful artsy pieces which couldn't be more suited to Margate and its reinvented, rejuvenated soul beating with a youthful, offbeat rhythm.

From the lofty front bay windows allow you to sit and watch the beach go by with the Turner Contemporary Gallery perched to your right beyond the independent shops, emporiums and arcades pulling you in along the way. It's a house of grand proportions but dedicated only to fun and games, outside and in. Buckets and spades/beach boards are included here and having your own keys through a private gate to the beach below is enough to send you cartwheeling down there at any time of the day. If you'd prefer to reach for bubbles (of both kinds!) rather than the beach, the hot tub in the garden will reach the spot possibly with a glass of Prosecco to hand. The outdoor lounge at night is lit gloriously with festoons and offers its own fireplace centrepiece that completes the cosy al fresco space.

The kitchen/dining room can host all your friends and family for fabulous dinners at the end of a day on golden sands but after dinner why not turn the kitchen island into a 'ping pong island' with the addition of a bespoke board that’s disguised as angular artwork on the wall!

From every angle in this house, you can capture the sunrise through carefully positioned windows that bring in that light and give out that salty view.
The owners' curated, design-led interiors bring a smile to anyone's face. Huge golden arches (of the fast food variety) adorn the hall whilst a twin room for younger guests has quirky weather-inspired walls. Comfy 1970s-inspired furniture and upcycled pieces that turn heads.

With four spacious bedrooms, three bathroom rooms (plus garden shower) and a large kitchen, and diner, this house is perfect for design-conscious families who want to hang out in uber cool Margate.

In the Area

The exciting, curious, quirky and all-round nostalgic seaside town of Margate is located in the further parts of East Kent in Thanet. Known for its golden sands, arcades and ice cream stands, choice of pubs, cafes and eateries and more recently regeneration in the heart of the trendy old town.

Margate's cobbled old town high street is a leisurely 15-minute walk passing the golden sands along the front from Margate Beach House. You will find an array of independent cafes and restaurants - a favourite being Fort - great for families and delicious meals. Buoy and Oyster join an array of fine dining eateries that have a seafront position and the best seafood.

Enjoy pottering along the high street, drinking in the atmosphere and the eclectic shops, art galleries and not forgetting the Turner Contemporary art gallery.
A visit to Margate is not complete without visiting Dreamland, a vintage amusement park/fairground and now home to live acts and musicians all summer long.

There are bike hire companies, and seaside attractions including ice cream kiosks right on the beach. You might even want to try the Bus cafe and enjoy brunch on a double-decker bus right on the beach!

Margate is flanked by a choice of blue-flag beaches. Has its own Train station - 2 minutes walks from Margate Beach House and direct connections to London.

Margate Beach House 5/5

The house was so light and airy, fabulous quirky décor, sociable open plan kitchen living area. Super views right across Margate sea pool, beach & harbour. Location excellent right on the Prom (direct access w gate key) only short walk to everything in Margate town centre. Being on private road it was very quiet, literally lie in bed & all you can hear are the waves. We were lucky with a very hot week, so glass doors at the back open all the time on to lovely patio garden with hot tub. Highly recommended.

When me and my family entered this house, we all were shocked about how amazingly arty the house owner was to put up all these wonderful paintings. All of the things you left for us. e.g the marshmallows and the cones were amazing for a snack! Everyone especially liked the hot tub and the sea view - which may I add was a very beautiful sea view from the room with the binoculars! My family enjoyed this house so much, thank you!

This is a gorgeous property right on the sea front. Spacious and comfortable for all the family. We loved all the little touches which were so thoughtful. It won’t disappoint.

In the words of Art (age 3) - Can we stay here forever? We came to spend a week here with our Dad who did not want to fly and it was honestly one of the best little holidays we have ever had! Your house is incredible and the little touches made everything feel very special. We've loved every minute. Grandad said the location just kept giving and giving.. it was perfect!
