“Admire the spectacular autumn colours on the Belmont estate when you stay at this pretty secluded cottage. Enjoy free weekend entry to the neoclassical house until the end of September. After a visit to Canterbury or the seaside resort of Whitstable return to the two-bedroom cottage with its beams and fireplace.” — The Times' 50 Great Autumn Escapes, September 2017.

Off the beaten track and swathed in quintessential English charm, Walnut Tree Cottage is a romantic self-catering cottage which truly makes the most of the countryside and its romance.

Tucked away on the edge of the private parkland of The Belmont Estate, this pretty as a picture cottage surrounded by mature gardens and two ponds is wonderfully secluded offering cosy seating places and nooks in which to huddle away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Simply perfect for honeymoons and romantic self-catering breaks.

Included in your stay is free access to visit the nearby Belmont House and Gardens (open April to October, but please do check their website for most up-to-date information). The trendy seaside town of Whitstable is nearby which offers a wonderful harbour with fresh fish markets, and lovely seaside walks. Also, the pretty market town of Faversham is within easy reach which offers great antique shops, markets and the oldest brewery in the country to visit, Shepherd Neame. All in all this Kentish cottage would make an ideal holiday for two.

This truly English country cottage offers quaint self-catering accommodation for those looking to retreat and relax, be it in the summertime on country walks that go on for miles or evenings in by the fire cuddled up with a good book beside a loved one.
