Found down a peaceful country lane, close to the village of Ash, near Sandwich, this ex-agricultural barn sits in unspoilt countryside but with easy access to the coast, historic Sandwich with its canal and coast and other local attractions.

The Willows has a characterful interior with cosy wood burner and large sociable kitchen for memorable meals together, an enclosed courtyard garden with luxurious hot tub and fa fully equipped games room. One of the bedrooms has a luxurious bath in it as a feature giving that touch of hotel style contemporary glamour....

Transformed into a beautiful holiday home which retains much of its character and blessed with high-beam ceilings and exposed brick walls, hand-picked pieces of antique furniture gives that curated feel.

With views over the attractive courtyard garden through the full height glass doors the sitting room provides a beautiful space to relax. On warmer days throw open the doors and enjoy seamless inside-outside living, whilst in winter, with the doors closed tight, light the cosy wood burner, pick a board game or a family TV favourite to watch together. Once the sun goes down, 4 comfortable bedrooms await.

The courtyard garden is fully enclosed and beautifully planted to create a calm and relaxing setting for peaceful afternoons. Tucked under a wooden pergola, the al-fresco dining area allows you to make the most of barbecue dinners, with an outdoor sofa for extra comfort. At the other side of the courtyard sits the granary, converted into a fun games room with vintage pool table, where competitive matches can be played (and won!) whilst the barn retains its sense of peace.

With a choice of picturesque walking routes on the doorstep, it'll be easy to take in some fresh countryside air, especially if you've got a four legged friend in tow. Nearby you can explore historic Sandwich, just, a 5 minute drive away, whilst Wingham Wildlife Park and for the more adventurous Whitemills Aqua Park is close too. Creative artsy Deal, Broadstairs or the cobbled streets of historic Canterbury are just 20 minutes away by car. Princes Golf Club, a very popular course is also within easy reach.

The Willows is an ideal choice for a beautiful break in Kent. Brilliant baths, beds and barbeques are all here.

Situated in the small countryside village of Ash, in an excellent position for exploring Kent, whether exploring the picturesque countryside surrounding you on foot; with a visit to the local farm shop and country pub, or hopping in the car to explore the wonderful choice of attractions and Kent’s hot spots; such as Canterbury, Sandwich and Broadstairs, all within a short drive.

Family days out are plentiful, with Whitemills Aqua & Wake Park a few minutes’ drive away - for the more adventurous adults and children of the group, whilst Wingham Wildlife Park is just a couple of minutes further, along with sprawling Betteshanger Country Park just a 10 minute drive. Beach days, whether that’s soaking up the sun in the Summer or Wintery walks with a dog in tow, the coast is under a 10 minute drive away.

Should days discovering some of Kent’s beautiful towns and coastal delights sound appealing, Ash conveniently sits within easy reach of some of the best. Discover the historic streets of Sandwich, less than a 5 minute drive from The Willows, think cobbled streets, mediaeval buildings, and a picturesque quay with seal watching boat trips on offer, with a plentiful choice of delicious cafes and restaurants, and independent shops to explore. Equally placed, around a 20 minute car journey away, yet all so different, lies the creative charms of the coastal town of Deal, the quintessential delights of the seaside town of Broadstairs and the cobbled streets of the historic city of Canterbury.

Amazing stay! 5/5

We had an amazing stay at the Willows. The place was perfect for our weekend getaway, and there were lots of nice touches like a welcome basket! Would definitely recommend and am sure we will be back.

Fabulous! 5/5

I would highly recommend Bloom for their warm, friendly and efficient customer service. The property itself was beautiful - particularly the court yard - and with the gorgeous weather we felt we were in the south of France! One recommendation would be deep shaded black-out blinds for the bedroom attached to the sitting area. A security light was on overnight from a nearby property, and with the early dawn light streamed into the room through-out. My friends and I had an amazing time though and wished we had booked for longer. I would like to give a special thanks to Agnes our beauty therapist, (recommended by Bloom). She really made our time there special and the gorgeous rooms combined beautifully with the deep relaxation she instilled. One of the highlights was the quality of the beds - we all found the mattresses so comfortable. We had no idea we would receive a welcome gifts; these were extremely generous and delicious. A wonderful touch. I would stay again at The Willows in a heartbeat and I will be using Bloom in the future, and recommend their service and the property to all.

Perfect stay 5/5

A perfect stay for my partners birthday celebration with friends. Very clean and in good general condition. The hot tub was a lovely addition as was the fire, with logs provided. The games room unfortunately for us was separate from the property, and a little cold. The light was not working in there and we had some trouble when emptying the fruit machine. The games room was still used but would have suited us better if it was joined with the main property. Kitchen was lovely, equipped with a choice of beautiful crockery and modern electrical items. Maybe could have done with some pint glasses but other than that was well equipped. Beds were all comfortable and all bathroom facilities were great, the perfect shower and a lovely bath in the main bedroom. On arrival we were greeted with a basket of goodies including wine, Prosecco, and a delicious loaf, which was a nice touch. Friends that accompanied us enjoyed the art around the property too. The house was perfect we very much enjoyed our stay and I would like to move in now please!!

Brilliant trip for a very special birthday! 5/5

We booked the willows for my dad's 70th birthday and it could not have been a more special weekend! The house was absolutely beautiful! We were greeted by a thoughtful hamper of wine, local homemade bread and jam, totally unexpected but well received! The games room and hot tub were amazing, and had plenty of use. Overall a fabulous time was had by all, 100% recommend! We'd love to return next year!

What an absolute pleasure to stay at the wonderful Willows. Beautifully appointed, fabulously finished and perfectly located. An absolute asset to the Kent staycation repertoire! We cant wait to tell Kent all about our stay (although wish we could keep this as our little secret too) Games room is ace! Beds are delightful and kitchen is too.

Nice time, the weather was unexpectedly kind. Thank you for the welcome package we especially enjoyed the wine. Our favourite local place was Deal. We were amused to notice 3 place names Deal, Sandwich and Ham. Or to reorder Ham Sandwich Deal 🙂

From the moment we booked until and after we left Bloom were superb. Great communications at all times and the property was wonderful. The hosts made the whole property very homely and catered for all our needs from the 11 month old baby to us grandparents. Would wholly recommend The Willows.

We had a wonderful time staying at The Willows. The cottage is beautifully appointed and we were very pleased to receive the welcome pack, the wine was well received. Our Grandson enjoyed the toys that were provided and the grown ups enjoyed their toys....the games room. Wonderful days out in Canterbury, Sandwich, Broadstairs for fish and chips and Wingham Wildlife Park. We would most certainly recommend the property to our friends and family, thank you for a lovely stay. P.s the log burner was a fabulous addition to end the days.
