The View has its own private balcony so you can relax taking in the sea view, spotting the French coastline on a clear day. The enclosed patio terrace is ideal for a morning coffee leading onto the communal gardens which wrap around the whole development.

Staying at The View at Shoreline means you have a concierge available from 9am to 5pm, weekdays, on hand for advice on the best spots to visit in Folkestone and Kent. Don’t miss Folkestone’s renowned and much-loved seafront restaurant Rocksalt overlooking the harbour, just a few minutes stroll away. You will also be welcomed with a hamper and bottle of Kent wine on your arrival at The View.

Folkestone is easily accessible from London with high-speed trains from London taking less than an hour and just a 20-minute walk from the station to Shoreline. Arriving by car is hassle-free with a secure private car park that includes a space handily located next to your private entry door. Electric vehicle charging points are available and a re-charge is included at no extra cost.

The View at Shoreline: sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms and 2 bath/shower rooms, two reception rooms, balconies front and sea facing and rooftop terrace, and communal garden. Parking for 2 vehicles on site, more nearby free and also chargeable.

    Leas Lift café situated just opposite Shoreline, and the Harbour Arm is a 5 minute stroll away on the promenade. 
  • House Rules

    We hope you have a wonderful stay in The View at Folkestone’s Shoreline.
    We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages to our beautiful holiday home. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
    Please ensure you check out on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests. Usually 10am.
    Smoking or Vaping is not permitted in the property at any time. This includes balconies. Smoking is permitted in the courtyard garden - please dispose of butts correctly.
    Please note, for insurance purposes, the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house. (8)
    For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
    Please note: Stag and Hen parties are not permitted.
    Please note: quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am. Please be respectful to our neighbours.
    Please refrain from charging scooters / bikes - For EV charging there is a charger on site, contact the management to arrange access.
    One vehicle is permitted in the car park unless by arrangement.
    The communal gardens are for guests' use, please keep them tidy.
    Please bring the deck chairs back in after every use on the beach. Do not sit directly outside the property.

In the Area


The Shoreline development is located on the Folkestone Harbour Seafront, on pebbled shores closest to the Mermaid beach and beside the Lower Leas Coastal Park. The park was created in Victorian times and the area along the beach was renowned for being a holiday area from this time. Today, the award-winning Lower Leas Coastal Park is a groomed mature nature park with three zones – wild, formal and the largest adventure play area in the South East.

You can access the beach and seaside cafés, and walk towards Sandgate to the west or Folkestone Harbour Arm to the east. Sandgate has a collection of delis, sandwich bars and cafés, wine bars and very good restaurants. Folkestone Harbour Arm is one of Kent’s most popular visitor attractions with street food stalls, exclusive sea-side restaurants and an artisan marketplace. There is a large outdoor screen for free family films on a Friday, and sporting events across the week.

Folkestone’s Creative Quarter is full of galleries, independent shops and award-winning restaurants, situated to enjoy breath-taking sea views. There are two beaches, pebble to the west of the Harbour Arm, and Sunny Sands to the east. Onwards on the eastern side is the Site of Special Scientific Interest called The Warren; this is a great area of fossil hunting and appreciating diverse wild flora and fauna. A stay with a difference and wow what a view! 5/5

We stayed at Shoreline for a team stay away and were lucky enough to let two neighbouring properties including this one. The views are out of this world and best appreciated in person. Fittings and furnishings are to the highest standards and the detail comes with Sonos speakers / Aesop products, fluffy robes and a lovely welcome pack of local goodies! There is a short walk to find lots of restaurants and cafes and even a crazy golf which our team had lots of fun at. We also hired bikes to take jaunts along the flat promenade to neighbouring Sandgate and Hythe. Such fun and a brilliant luxury stay for our group.
