Set within the gently rolling countryside in Hartfield, near Tunbridge Wells, Blackham Farm offers an impressive country retreat where space, character, and thoughtful home comforts combine for a memorable stay with family or friends. Surrounded by private grounds on a historic estate, this beautifully restored Grade II listed farmhouse provides a peaceful option for group accommodation in East Sussex – all while remaining within easy reach of nearby villages and countryside walks.

The five-bedroom, dog-friendly home sleeps up to fourteen guests and reflects centuries of history, having evolved from the site of a medieval moated manor into the elegant 19th-century farmhouse you’ll see today. Inside, the home balances period features with welcoming living spaces designed for spending time together. Two well-equipped kitchens allow guests to cook and host with ease: one centred around a traditional Aga for slow, sociable cooking, and another fitted with modern appliances that make catering for larger groups straightforward.

Stays at Blackham Farm naturally centre around shared moments, with luxury amenities that are spacious enough for everyone to enjoy. During the warmer months, the private heated outdoor swimming pool becomes a favourite spot for long afternoons outdoors, while the hot tub offers a place to unwind once the day winds down. Evenings, meanwhile, might begin with drinks at the built-in bar, before continuing with a few games in the games room, or settling into one of the comfortable sitting rooms for quieter conversation by the fire. Upstairs, five individually-styled bedrooms provide restful spaces that combine comfort with the charm of a historic country home – and a boutique feel that make a staycation here feel that much more special.

Whether gathering for a celebratory weekend, a long-overdue reunion, or simply time away together in the countryside, Blackham Farm offers a relaxed and spacious setting where good company and the surrounding Sussex landscape set the tone for a memorable stay.
