The pretty stable door welcomes you into a light and bright open-plan living space with everything you need for a peaceful rural holiday or short break. The open-plan design offers a sociable and comfortable living space and an electric fire for chilly evenings. A small courtyard provides privacy and overlooks the woodland. It is fully enclosed so perfect for guests with a dog. To the front of the lodge there are stunning open views of the Kent countryside and a short walk leads to the North Downs Way and other footpaths for exploring this pretty part of the Garden of England. A number of quaint and pet-friendly English pubs are within walking distance. Venture further afield and a short drive brings you to the medieval City of Canterbury. Whilst a short drive in the opposite direction leads to the coast and the iconic castle at Dover along with the pretty St Margaret’s Bay and coastal towns of Deal and Folkestone.

Very pleasant cottage on a very peaceful location 4.3/5

We had a lovely stay at the pheasants cottage in Kent! The house was very clean and cosily! We also were able to bring our dog so that was a big plus! The owner was very nice and approachable. We defenately recommend staying here for a holiday!

Enjoyed our stay 5/5

Would recommend staying here as it’s a very well equipped cottage. Central for visiting all the lovely places in North Kent and not far from several local pubs.

Wonderfull stay at the countryside 4.3/5

A very friendly host, a nice and clean cottage and a beautiful countryside. You can make nice long walks here, for example the Via Francigena or you can visit Canterbury, the house of Churchill or Dover Castle.

Perfectly quaint lodge nestled away in the countryside 4.8/5

Pheasant Lodge is a perfectly quaint lodge, hidden away just off of the A2. The location is absolute bliss for people seeking the peace and quiet of the countryside, with ample walks just steps from the front door (including the North Downs Way). Inside, the decor is a fairly traditional cottage style and exceptionally clean. The bed is large and comfy, the water hot, the heating effective. Anne is also a very friendly welcoming host. If I could make any suggestions it would be an improved WiFi, which I was using to work from and struggled to make teams calls, and a smart tv. That aside, it really is a lovely place to get away from it all.

A Place to Relax 5/5

This was our second stay here because Pheasants Lodge is as far from the maddening crowd as you can get while with bustling Canterbury (with a Waitroses´s and a Tesco Express on your right before you get to the town centre) within easy reach it cannot get too lonely either. Pheasants Lodge is a remote place where you can relax and enjoy the landscape - you literally have Kent at your feet when you wander less than 100 yards out into the open field. It is quiet here - five or six times a day a car passes by (mostly the Mail and delivery services) and while sometimes you can hear the traffic from the nearby A-Road this is never of any disturbance. You have your own little world (with all amenities) where you can be left alone if you desire. In case of any need the proprietess lives right next door - we look forward to seeing Ann again one day soon. . I cannot really comment on Value for Money since I have no idea what the rates of other holiday cottages in the area are but I think it is very good . A word to Bloom Stays: It would not hurt if the instructions of how to get there were be a little more specific, especially for those who are NOT travelling from London but fom the South - including what to do if you miss the turn-off from the A 2 into Lleden Lane (which happens all too easily when you get there first time).

Comfy little cottage. Very relaxing after travelling for 3 weeks. We weren't lucky with the weather, too windy to enjoy the fields. But managed to see other nearby places. Anne was very helpful, cottage so very clean.
