A charming family retreat, Beadles is a grand yet welcoming period home tucked into the tranquil beauty of Sandwich Bay, a private, gated estate with a long stretch of untouched beach and adjoined by two championship golf courses.
Built in the distinctive style of a South African homestead with graceful Dutch gables, this elegant house whispers stories of both history and heart — a beloved family home now open for unforgettable gatherings. A home that holds generations, made for togetherness: up to 12 people can spread out in comfort across six beautifully appointed bedrooms. Whether you're planning a multi-generational reunion or a special celebration, there's space for everyone.
Living and dining with soul, step inside through the impressive front door into a broad hallway, its unusual ceramic-tiled and pebbled floor hinting at the craftsmanship and character of the space. Adjoining the hallway is a panelled dining room, where an oak-panelled wall and a serving hatch to the kitchen give the sense of a home that's as practical as it is charming.
A large dining room with a dining table for 12 at the centre; invites laughter-filled feasts, while the Portland-stone fireplace gives the room a warm, timeless feel. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, with a gas AGA, additional electric ovens, an induction hob and all essential appliances for group catering — whether the budding chef of the group is cooking up a feast or a local chef is welcomed into the home for a hassle-free evening.
Entertainment is effortless: a traditionally styled billiards room features a full-size snooker table, games, a large sofa, and an open fireplace, while the playroom keeps younger guests happily occupied. The extensive enclosed gardens, including two hidden “secret” areas, invite exploration and games of hide-and-seek.
Relax at sunset on the balcony overlooking the championship golf course, or curl up by the roaring fire in the drawing room. Beadles offers a magical escape for families, unforgettable in both summer and winter.
