Hidden within the rolling countryside near Tunbridge Wells, Blackham Court Farmhouse offers a refined rural retreat where historic character meets contemporary comfort. Set within its own private grounds on a historic estate, this beautifully restored Grade II listed farmhouse blends centuries of heritage with thoughtful modern touches, creating an inviting setting for time away with family and friends.
Sleeping up to twelve guests, this five-bedroom home has evolved from the site of a medieval moated manor into the elegant farmstead seen today. Inside, original features and period architecture sit comfortably alongside generous living spaces designed for gathering. Two fully equipped kitchens provide exceptional flexibility for self-catering: one centred around a traditional Aga for slow, atmospheric cooking, and another with modern ovens ideal for preparing meals for larger groups.
With everything at your fingertips, days at Blackham Court Farmhouse unfold at an easy pace. During the warmer months (April to September), the private heated outdoor swimming pool offers a refreshing centrepiece to long summer days, while the hot tub provides a quiet place to unwind beneath open skies at any hour. Evenings can move effortlessly from drinks at the built-in bar to friendly competition in the games room, or simply relaxing in one of the cosy snugs with a book (or glass of wine). Upstairs, individually styled bedrooms create a boutique-hotel feel, combining comfort, character, and thoughtful detail throughout.
Whether gathering for a milestone birthday, a long-overdue family reunion, or a luxury countryside escape with friends, Blackham Court Farmhouse offers a welcoming space where good food, better company, and the peaceful Sussex landscape can come together naturally.
