The cottage has been furnished to a high standard with a homely coastal theme to match it's location, and offers spacious open plan living for families and couples. The french doors from the sitting room open to the terrace, bringing the outdoors in, where you can sit inside our outside and watch the boats sail by.

Quick getaway 5/5

We loved our stay, homely and comfortable, with amazing view of the sea and immediate access for those early morning and late evening swims. Couldn’t have been happier here for a quick weekend break.

Fabulous stay at driftwood cottage 5/5

Just had a fantastic week at driftwood cottage, a bit off putting from the front but it’s lovely inside, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and right on Sandgate beach. The cottage has everything you need for a great holiday, can’t wait to return.

Perfect for getting away from it all 5/5

A place to relax, look at the sea and watch the world go by. The front of the property is on a bus route but once you are inside the cottage and when sitting outside overlooking the sea it is peaceful. Very well equipped for all your needs.

Family stay 5/5

Amazing cottage right by the sea. Stayed for three nights with my children and mum. It was a dream to be able to sit in the garden right next to the beach while the children played in the beach like it was their own private garden. The house had everything we could need down to blankets and beach towels. It was very comfortable and homely. Only slight issue is the bathroom door was very hard to open once closed maybe something to look into.

The perfect escape 5/5

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Driftwood Cottage and it never disappoints. The booking with Bloomstays is hassle free and the service they provide is exemplary. We have stayed in other Bloomstays properties and they always have the edge on quality and character. Driftwood is no exception. Perfect location right on the seafront for coffee in the morning on the terrace after a bracing dip, gorgeous evening views with a glass of wine and a lovely 45 min walk along the seafront to Hythe one way or Folkestone the other. This time there was 4 of us and 2 small dogs at Driftwood and it was very comfortable - fully equipped and beautifully presented, including lovely welcome gifts. Thank you Bloomstays and thank you Louise , for all the attention to detail and for providing a little bit of heaven for the weekend. We will be back!

Seaside Heaven 5/5

We have had a superb weekend on the seafront at Driftwood Cottage and feel as though we've been away for a week! The cottage is really beautiful and very well equipped. We were greeted by some lovely goodies including a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our arrival. We absolutely loved morning coffee on the little terrace / sea wall looking out to sea, after an early morning swim. The location is perfect - a lovely 45 minute walk along the seafront in to Folkestone one way and a similar distance to Hythe the other. Lots to do and enjoy but equally, we would have been happy to spend time at the cottage enjoying the sunset. Thoroughly recommend - we have stayed at Driftwood twice now and will definitely be back again!

Month of bliss by the beach 4/5

We had the most wonderful 4-week stay at this lovely cottage! It was an absolute delight - well-equipped, incredibly comfortable, and just steps away from the beautiful beach. I can't recommend it enough!

Perfect Honeymoon Getaway 5/5

The cottage was easy to find as it is in Sandgate High Street. We don't drive so having the bus stop right in front of the cottage was a great convenience. The place was pristine and had all the amenities you need for a beach stay. The beds were a great size and very comfortable. You can even hear the ocean's waves from the master's bedroom which was lovely. The beach is right outside the cottage and it's in a perfect location between Hythe and Folkestone, both within walking distance. A lot of great sights and restaurants/cafes to stop by while walking. We had a lovely time and couldn't imagine spending our honeymoon anywhere else. We could not recommend it enough! We will surely come back again.

Driftwood cottage sandgate kent 4.7/5

Beautiful house perfect location had couple of problems but Louise sorted them very quickly with no trouble, had everything you could possibly need and more, was left a lovely bottle of prossecco, squash, chiclate, crisps and cookies what a lovely welcome. Parking was fine got parked every day and evening with no trouble,Beautiful sea view literally on your door step listening to sounds of the waves in bed at night, would have liked 2 double beds for the 4 of us as we slept in the singles beds comfy but too small that's just our preference though. Comfy sofas large table to sit and eat which was lovely for our evening meal. Terrace furniture nice but couple of sun loungers would have been good. I would score this property 9-10 as nothing is perfect only downfall is not many places to eat within walking distance we couldn't get in any so advise to book a table if eating out. Must try the fish and chip shop best one we've ever eaten been going there for years new owners but lovely still.

Very pretty well laid out cottage in Sandgate. Dog friendly and perfect for a few days of relaxation with the family

Potential 3.8/5

A few small details that could be put right. Got locked in the bathroom and had a panic attack handle on door loose thank goodness I wasn’t in the cottage alone. Also my mother got locked in her bedroom the door handle difficult to open. The main lights in living area didn’t work. But a beautiful cottage. Unfortunately Sandgate was not the the nice little village we expected it to be. But the sea view was beautiful. Also the shower was disappointing looks amazing but the water ran hot and cold.

We really enjoyed our stay at Driftwood, it was very cosy! 4.8/5

We really enjoyed our stay at Driftwood....it was well equipped with everything we needed. It also had very comfy beds and a nice shower! We stayed here during the winter months while we waited to move into our new home, and it was very cosy and very well located, being minutes from the beach and some lovely walks. The owner was very nice and so was the agent.

Perfect 5/5

Driftwood Cottage was wonderful. The owner Louise was very helpful when called with a question. The cottage was furnished very tastefully and so comfortable and contained everything we required. The views from the cottage were amazing and were the icing on the cake.

Two nights at Driftwood 3.7/5

Gorgeous location, breathtaking views! Driftwood is a really lovely cottage, very cute! The house needed a little maintenance and was expensive for what it was, arrived at 2.30 on Wednesday and had to be out by 10.30 Friday. For what we paid , it felt rushed. I think I expected more as we paid a lot.

Charlotte Shaw | 23 July 2022

A great week 4.7/5

Wonderfully located right on the sea front, beautifully decorated and furnished, equiped with all we could need and easy parking. Aided by marvelous weather we had a great week at Driftwood Cottage.

2 days at Driftwood 5/5

We really enjoyed our stay. Having the sea on the doorstep was a real draw for us and it didn't disappoint in terms of morning and evening dips, drinks with the setting sun and walks along the beach. We also really appreciated the flexibility shown by the owner. Our journey to the property was quicker than anticipated and she was happy for us to check in about an hour before the formal time. Similarly, we were allowed to check out in the early afternoon, because there was no booking following us. This was just great news and really added to the quality of our stay.

Stunning on the seashore cottage 5/5

We had an amazing time at the Driftwood cottages. Very good communication from the owners. The decor is beautiful and immediately as you walk in you can see the sea from the kitchen and living room windows. In fact, every room has a sea view, even upstairs in the bathroom and master bedroom. The cottages were immaculate and a welcome goodie bag was left which was a wonderful surprise. We will be back again 100%

A very pleasant stay 4.7/5

We had a very good relaxing stay. The cottage is charming and right on the beach and the neighbourhood is very friendly and welcoming. The parking can be a bit tricky on nice days when lots of people come to the beach.

Wonderful cottage, perfect location 5/5

We had such a wonderful stay at Driftwood. Waking up to sea views did wonders for our family. Very clean and comfortable with plenty of homely touches throughout. The welcome wine and biscuits were such a lovely touch. We can’t wait to come back again next year.

Lovely chilled family weekend 4.8/5

What a gorgeous property - right on the beach. Great for wondering along the beach and up the High Street - popped over to Folkestone to the Harbour Arm - ten mins away. Lovely equipped kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and bathroom - really authentic. All loved lounging in the garden looking at the sea with a cool beer. Great hosts. Perfect!
