Situated in An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Hearts of Oak sits at the heart of the village of Biddenden, one of the most idyllic villages in the Weald Of Kent. With the cottage set along Biddenden’s small and quaint high street, you will be moments from the renowned finery of the Michelin guided The West House restaurant, the friendly village pub, and warming interiors of The Bakehouse Cafe, and close by to Biddenden Vineyard and Cidery if you are tempted by a tour and tasting. Surrounded by miles of unspoilt countryside, exploring on foot or two wheels will lead through beautiful scenery. Whilst the location also lends itself to easily hopping in the car for days out; from the pretty market town of Tenterden with its steam railway and the historic Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens both only 10 minutes by car, with the cobbled streets of Rye and the 14th century moated castle of Bodiam nearby.

Steeped in character and history, the cottage's warm and eclectic interior with hand-picked pieces and antiques add to its charm. With a choice of sitting areas, both warmed by a roaring open fire and wood burner, lend themselves to cosy evenings in, competitive family games or simply sitting with a good book after a day of exploring the Weald. With original beams and rustic brick flooring, the kitchen and dining area is the real heart of the home, where meals can be prepared or even lunches delivered from The Bakehouse and enjoyed around the table together. Upstairs, the character continues with original floorboards and attractive ornamental fireplaces, two spacious bedrooms with delightful sash windows and a cosy double bedroom overlooking the garden share in a large bathroom. Outside, a generously sized, lawn garden will be a firm favourite with children and four legged friends, or to just relax with a meal in the fresh countryside air, with mature natural planting creating an inviting space for the warmer months.
