We stayed here with the kids and the indoor pool was the clear highlight of the trip. It was warm, clean, and well managed, which made it genuinely easy to relax while the children burned off energy. The pool area never felt chaotic, even when busy, and safety was clearly taken seriously. Outside the pool, everything was practical rather than flashy, which actually worked well for a family stay. The kids were happy, tired at the end of each day, and asking to go back, which is usually the best test. Overall, it delivered exactly what we needed for a stress-free family break without any unpleasant surprises.

Wonderful stay at honeywood lodge 4.8/5
The lodge was wonderful, and extremely comfortable. Comfy mattresses and sofas, made for a very relaxed stay. Property had enough utensils and was well equipped. The pool was amazing, and really warm. Alot of indoor pools we have used are never as warm! Shower didnt seem to get hot in pool area but no bog deal. Beautiful setting in woodland, and was very private and peaceful.
Is a little rough around the edges if you study but this was so minor and had no impact on our stay. We had an amazing time and would return again. My only negative would be to the bin, there was no lid for it which was a bit annoying as food smells lingered a little!

Brilliant pool, whole family really loved it.
Property functional, but very hot especially at night. Fans supplied, but not easiest to use. Cleanliness inside quite good, but outside balconies needed sweeping badly and clearly not done recently, which would have expected before our arrival..
No phone reception in Property but was aware of this before arrival, was great could use WhatsApp to contact bloom stays as we had issue with washing machine, and they dealt with it very quickly, great service, even though I am still awaiting my deposit refund.
We would definitely recommend this property and bloom stays. Thank you.

A cosy and luxurious stay with sole access to the pool! 4.8/5
The property is rurally located off a lane, yet close to Canterbury for quick access to sites and amenities. Coming from London, we appreciated being able to see the stars. The owner’s property is next door, but we didn’t see anyone for the weekend we stayed, so we felt we had the place to ourselves!
It was a real treat to access the pool directly from the property without having to go outside and use it whenever we wanted. The pool temp was better than expected given energy costs these days! Facilities like the pool, showers, WCs, bathrooms, were all modern, well-maintained and spotlessly clean. Essentials were provided, like tea, coffee, milk, sugar, detergent. The sofas were extremely comfortable and there were plenty of blankets to be cosy. The furniture generally seemed to be more of a premium quality.
There are also well-maintained grounds with a football goal that would have been great in warmer weather.
We had a wonderful stay and would be happy to return.

What a great way to spend Christmas with family. 8 of us in one beautiful place. The pool was used on numerous occasions with lots of fun and laughter. The house and grounds are amazing. We would love to come back in the summer months. Thank you!

Honeywood Lodge is a pleasant hideaway with ame parking and walk paths. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and within reach of Canterbury High Street. The heated swimming pool was a must have bonus. Had a lovely time with my family. Will definitely do it again.

Fabulous pool – with the Bi-folds open, sun out – could have been in The Med! So easy having the pool connected to the lodge. Huge grounds to explore and play football/games. Superb quiet location – great WiFi too.

Fantastic stay in a fantastic house.

Fantastic short stay at Honeywood Lodge. We visited Howletts Safari, Canterbury Cathedral, Wingham Wildlife Park and some shopping. The pool was amazing, we had so much fun as well as good food and movie nights. Thank you so much for all the added extras in the kitchen, a home from home

Lovely stay at Honeywood Lodge 4.3/5
We had a lovely stay at Honeywood Lodge. It is close to London and ideal for small families with kids as the accommodation is not too big but with the huge benefit of a private indoor pool. The property was clean, well appointed and easy to access. There were one or two hitches like the microwave not working and the mattresses could be more comfy but overall a brilliant stay.

Honeywood Lodge – great pool; lodge needs tlc 3.5/5
We stayed at the end of May 2023. The pool was great and we all had an amazing time using these private facilities, along with the games room. The grounds were stunning and it was really relaxing and peaceful, listening to the birds all day. However, we were disappointed to find the ball hoop game still broken from July 2022 (as noted in the guest comments book.) The blinds throughout were dirty, stained and ill-fitting; the dining chairs had bits all over them and we had to clean them and the table before we could eat. The carpets didnt appear to have been hoovered either. The bedrooms upstairs had a terrible smell – kind of like wet dog! We febrezed then all week but the smell was still there. The tap water and shower water also smelt, so we drank bottled water all week. Lots of cracks, debts and marks all over walls. The pool was its saving grace, as was the punting down the river (Canterbury Punting Co.) which wed highly recommend. Lots of choice for gluten free eating if you research first too – our son is coeliac so this was really helpful indeed. All in all, a wonderful holiday but the accommodation needs some tlc.

I spent a lovely week at Honeywood Lodge in April with my wife, two children and my parents. The property is a great place to visit with children of all ages thanks to the pool, games room and substantial grounds. The pool is a great size and my children (aged 6 and 3 at the time) were happy to play in there for over an hour at a time without getting cold. The games room had table-football, air hockey and a basket ball game. The outside grounds were great for a ramble and there was a large field with football goals. The property is very warm despite a couple of slightly draughty windows – we actually turned the heating down during our stay even though the weather was very windy. The bedrooms are all a good size and the beds were comfortable enough for us (if youre a bit fussy about your mattress youll probably want to bring a topper). If youre a light sleeper you might want to bring ear-plugs as there were birds nesting on/close to the roof which were sometimes a bit active after 10.30pm and the first floor has creaky floorboards that might wake those sleeping on the ground floor. Shower rooms were very spacious. Elderly visitors will be comfortable on both the ground and first floor bedrooms as there are toilets on both floors. The kitchen amenities have been updated since the photos were taken. There is now a four burner hob and full sized oven. There is also a second larger fridge on the ground floor
knowing this ahead of the trip would have changed our meal planning. I would strongly consider coming back for another visit which I rarely say as I usually want to visit new places. Im sure the decking on the ground-floor bedroom and pool would have been lovely to use during the summer. Very jealous of the owners of this great property. Thank you.

We were incredibly lucky with the weather which allowed us to enjoy the large garden to its full extent. A great property that we have already recommended and cannot wait to book our next stay!

A Stay with a difference due to storm Eunice! No power for 4 days, so we couldn't enjoy it as much as we would of liked. Loved the games area. Great house, lovely surroundings. Our son wont forget his 21st birthday surprise celebration stay.

We had a wonderful short break in Honeywood Lodge. The pool is amazing!!! The grounds were beautiful and we loved our walks. The games area was a great touch and the lodge would suit couples and families offering different entertainment for all.
Such a small thing to mention but was disappointed with bedding was not ironed in the two upstairs bedrooms and looked untidy upon arrival. When you are paying for a top quality place to stay you expect everything to be clean and tidy. This would not stop me from staying again as we loved the pool so much.

A lovely stay at Honeywood Lodge – great family trip to Canterbury 4.5/5
A lovely family holiday home with great facilities and in a great location. Really private / secluded and had the whole of the grounds to ourselves. In terms of feedback – the blinds in the upstairs bedrooms were in a bad state and became a bit of an issue when trying to get the room dark enough for young children to sleep in, the gaps in the blinds meant that light poured in from 5am. We also struggled slightly with the pool temperature – it was manageable for adults but the kids were unable to stay in there for more than 15 minutes because it was too cold. We followed all instructions and kept the covers on over night and when not in use but it didn’t seem to warm it up enough. Other than that, we had a lovely stay.

We had such a lovely break as we stayed at the beautiful Honeywood Lodge in Canterbury!
The place has a beautiful green space, but also a game room and can accommodate 6 people. The bedrooms were so nicely decorated and we enjoyed the space for the day. We really enjoyed having a private pool for the day and we made the most of it. Honeywood Lodge is such a beautiful location in a quiet spot of Canterbury. We loved being in the garden. The rooms in the loft were spacious and light. The bed was super comfy and the living room space is also big enough to relax with your family.
Thanks to Bloom Stays for making sure we were happy with the house. Really good customer service!

We had a months stay at Honeywood Lodge while we were working in Canterbury. Great location, the Lodge was very comfortable with everything we needed. Beds were extremely comfy and the accommodation was well presented and clean. The hosts have been very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend a stay here for a quiet getaway.

We enjoyed a great family holiday at Honeywood Lodge. The accommodation was as to be expected from images provided & all was spotlessly clean on arrival.
Location was excellent for visiting many of Kents attractions. It was also quiet & tranquil, whilst being close enough to access Canterburys conveniences within a few mins drive.
Heated pool was a huge hit with the kids. Kept them busy for hours allowing adults lots of time for coffee, croissants & books!
Nikki @ Bloomstays dealt with a couple of minor issues (wheelie bin full on arrival & low shower temp) pleasantly & efficiently. We would have no hesitation in booking with Bloomstays again in the future.

A Fantastic Play to Stay! 5/5
Our family spent 7 nights at Honeywood Lodge and just wished we could stay longer! Everything from initial enquiry to arrival was first class and the communication was brilliant throughout!
The property is simply amazing in a wonderful location and the pool was the firm family favourite! The kids spent hours each day splashing and having fun in the pool, which was safe, clean and much bigger than expected.
We visited the City a couple of times as well as the local pub and with shops nearby, we had everything we needed.
Just wished we had more than 7 nights!
Hope to stay again and will certainly recommend to friends.
