Tucked away in the peaceful village of Dargate, Love Letter Cottage is a charming Grade II-listed sanctuary with a wealth of period features, filled with rustic charm while retaining all the contemporary comforts you could wish for from a holiday home. If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and retreat the peace and quiet of the countryside, then this is the place for you!

Dating back in part to the 16th century, the cottage was once the village post office before being thoughtfully transformed into a beautiful holiday home. Today, its light-filled interiors offers comfortable bedrooms to relax in, with ample space for couples and small families throughout. Outside, mature gardens overlook the surrounding orchards, while a bubbling hot tub provides the perfect place to soak beneath the stars.

The holiday cottage's location within a Conservation Area is just as rewarding, with the surrounding landscape shaped by Kent's rich agricultural heritage. The orchards visible from the house have been replanted in tribute to the area's long tradition of fruit growing, while the surrounding farmland was once cultivated for hops supplying the nearby Shepherd Neame brewery, adding another layer to this quintessentially Kentish setting.

For exploring further afield, we highly recommend treating yourself to a lunch of artisan cheeses from the Cheesemakers of Canterbury (just a 15-minute walk away). Or settle in for an evening meal at The Dove at Dargate, a much-loved village pub. Woodland walks through Victory Woods and Blean Woods are also close by, while the cathedral city of Canterbury, the historic market town of Faversham, and the vibrant seaside town of Whitstable are all within easy reach by car.
