Hidden along a quiet lane just outside of Rye, New England is a charming white clapboard house with a character all of its own. A welcoming rural retreat, with Camber Sands just a short drive away, this holiday home is a perfect choice for up to 6 guests who are seeking both days on the beach and long walks in the countryside.

A treasure trove of quirky artefacts and cosy corners fill the bright, open-plan living area, where a wood burning stove and large sash windows overlooking the garden create an inviting setting for relaxed gatherings. Two additional reception rooms offer yet more space to unwind, whether it's for film nights, family games, or quieter moments. Upstairs, there are three spacious double bedrooms to retreat to, where you can enjoy long views across the garden, surrounding fields, and the peaceful countryside lane beyond.

The landscaped garden is rich with seasonal planting – including fragrant rose bushes and lush fruit trees – providing an idyllic backdrop if you want to dine outside. The varied seating provides comfortable areas to unwind in all seasons, or to simply watch over the children as they explore and play.

Beyond the home, New England is just a 10-minute walk from Rye's cobbled streets, where you'll find plenty of independent boutiques, delightful cafés, historic buildings, and jolly pubs full of smugglers' tunnels and pirate tales. Venture a little further, and you'll reach Camber Sands, where you'll find miles of sandy beaches, water sports, and local dining spots to set up in for the afternoon.

A home that suits slow mornings, sandy shoes by the door and evenings spent doing very little... This is a place to explore Rye and the coast, but equally somewhere you’ll be very happy to come back to.
