In the heart of the Kentish countryside near Kingston, Pheasants Lodge welcomes guests through a pretty stable door into a bright open-plan living space, designed for a relaxed rural stay for two.

The sofa area, electric fire, Freeview TV and DVD player create a cosy space for lounging, while the adjacent kitchen has all you need for self catering, including an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, and washer-dryer. A separate cloakroom helps keep the space clean and dry – especially helpful after a muddy walk outdoors.

The enclosed courtyard garden with bistro seating overlooks woodland and feels wonderfully private – perfect for guests with dogs (two are welcome) and al fresco breakfasts. From here, the rolling Kent countryside unfolds, with the North Downs Way and local footpaths both accessible on foot, leading into wide views and peaceful walking territory.

A short drive opens up a world of exploration: Pheasants Lodge is well placed for exploring historic Canterbury – with its cathedral and cultural attractions – as well as the coast, with Dover Castle, St Margaret’s Bay, Folkestone, and Deal all within easy reach. Vineyards such as Simpsons, Barnsole, and Chartham are also located nearby, along with Goodnestone Park Gardens for an idyllic day out in nature.

With underfloor heating, complimentary tea and coffee, private parking, and Wi-Fi included, this single-storey lodge makes for an easy and inviting base for a dog friendly rural break in Kent.
