Canterbury city centre can be reached on foot (or by bus) from outside the door, as can the lovely coastal town of Whitstable with its fishing harbour, quaint streets and shingle beach. Famous for its oysters and seafood, it’s an easy day out from Rose Lodge.
For those who enjoy walking, Blean Woods National Nature Reserve is just 25 minutes walk away which makes it a great base if you’ve got a four-legged friend with you (Rose Lodge welcomes two well-behaved dogs). With its lovely garden and seating area, there’s plenty of space here to relax and spend time with family and friends.

With an abundance of places to eat and drink within easy reach, it's an ideal spot for families and friends to explore the surrounding areas. Canterbury has good train connections to London with Kings Cross being only 58 minutes away — if you wish to explore further afield! Easy access to the continent also, with Dover and Folkestone being a 30-minute drive away.
