Lovely apartment in a super location. 4.8/5

We had a wonderful stay at this well-equipped apartment. The location is perfect, just a short walk to both the beach and the Highstreet. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, making the entire experience even better. Highly recommend!

It does the job 4.3/5

Yard very small but enclosed for the dog. Not convenient for dog loo or sitting out. Location brilliant for beach, canal town centre or walking on field. Ideal for a couple to see Hythe and surrounding area.

Thank You! 5/5

A very nice and tastefully decorated apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we booked you could tell how important it was to the owner to make her guests feel at home. Really great.

Thank you Sal for everything you provided - a wonderful welcome pack etc. Also for changing our booking last minute worth no fuss, much appreciated. We've had a great week and have cycled to Folkestone and New Romney (on separate days?). Also been to Samphire Hoe and Dungeness. There's a lovely seaside theme through the flat too. Friday 19th - our last day, a sunny cycle from here over the Marsh via Newchurch and St. Mary in the Marshy, back along the Esplanade and home - around 14-15 miles. A super week in an exceptional apartment, many thanks again Sal and Andy. PS: Noiys Noodles & The Hope definitely worth a visit, and the hall here is a good size for storing bikes overnight!

Perfect for the seafront, easy walk to town 4.5/5

Cracking little property, literally yards from the seafront. Parking right outside. The town of Hythe a pleasant short walk through the park and across the canal. Cosy apartment, nicely kept. Very friendly and helpful owner, and nice welcome gifts. And very dog friendly, even providing a dog bed and bowl, and blankets to protect the furniture. Park immediately opposite very useful for morning and late night walkies. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our holiday here, our first time in Kent. Monday-Thursday were spent with fellow members of the Bradford Botany Group looking at the special plants of the area, including Dungeness, Folkestone Downs, Sandwich Bay and Samphire Hoe. Lots of beautiful orchids and other flowers. We then had a couple of days for ourselves so time for some bird watching at Dungeness and Rye Harbour nature reserve - wonderful places to visit. Also managed to squeeze in a walking tour of Hythe over a couple of evenings using the guide book provided, “A Walk Round Historic Hythe”. Southbeach was the perfect base for all our day trips. Accommodation lovely and clean with everything we could need. Thanks Sal for the card and gifts.

Southbeach is such a cosy little flat in an excellent location. Everything you need and even more is there in this well-equipped place. Sal's welcome with flowers, crisps, wine and other goodies is so heart-warming. We're looking forward to our next stay.

What a gorgeous wee bolt hole. Accommodation was perfect and equipped with all that was needed to make our stay comfortable. The welcome pack was such a lovely welcoming gesture. Sal was always in touch to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Loved the Hythe area. This will certainly not be the last time I visit Hythe and the surrounding area. Many, many thanks for everything,

Perfect Holiday 5/5

This is a very well appointed and serviced flat in the great location of Hythe. So much to do from walks along the promenade or canal, to visiting the independent shops and Malthouse market in the High Street. Plenty of places to buy food and cafes to enjoy a lunch. It’s also only a short drive to the vibrant Folkestone. The beach is super clean and safe for a swim and found the place very relaxing. Our host was extremely helpful and we appreciated the special touches and good supply of all the basics. We will most definitely stay here again.

A lovely place to stay 4.8/5

We have had a fabulous few days here in lovely Hythe! Thank you to Sal for making our stay so welcoming and comforting. This is one of the best equipped places we have stayed. We loved the steam train to Dymchurch and lovely beach there and enjoyed walks along the canal and proximity to beach here. Thanks for a perfect short break.

Super well equipped flat in a perfect location 4.8/5

Southbeach was the perfect the location for the two of us to extend our stay in Hythe. Just near the beach so we could pop over for evening paddles/swims after being out for the day. An unexpected bonus was the view from the living room over the playing fields to the church and houses on the hill. Southbeach has everything you need - great kitchen appliances if you want to cook, a dishwasher (I have a habit for forgetting to check this when booking), good shower. And last but by no means least, Sal is a very welcoming host, doing everything she can to make you feel at home and have a great stay.

Thank you for a lovely stay. Everything we needed for a smooth and relaxing stay was here. Loved the welcome flowers and snacks, and also the helpful and considerate messages before our arrival. I knew we'd love being close to the sea but I hadn't also expected to enjoy the view at the front with the playing fields, the church and the houses on the hill. There were some spectacular sunsets!

Heartfelt thank you for a wonderful & memorable stay. Everything at this holiday home was impeccable and we couldn't have wished for more. The location of this house is very central with leisure activities, supermarkets, beach and the walk along the canal. We would love to come back again - and hopefully very soon.

Great location in a lovely town 4.8/5

We loved everything about this flat - its location was brilliant, and the kitchen was fabulously equipped (although we ate out while we were there) The bed was very comfy, and the lounge was lovely and bright and had a view of the town across the playing fields. 30 seconds walk to the beach, about 5 minutes to the town. You can walk along the coast to Sandgate either via the promenade or the Royal Military canal which is the shady option. There is also an excellent bus service along the coast to Canterbury, Dover & Folkestone in one direction, and Rye in the other so you don't need to use your car to get around.

We were here to visit family & the fantastic welcome and facility here have been a real asset. Such a beautiful view across to the folks on the hill (!), and being so close to the sea & canal walks makes it even more special.

What a lovely flat, well decorated, with all the utensils and linens etc, thought of it all. Our host, Sal, was fantastic and we were welcomed with lovely surprises: wine, a commemorative mug to take home, flowers, card, welcome pack with guidance, coffee & tea, milk in the fridge...I may have forgotten something but it was all there. It was comfy, cosy and super clean. Was most definitely home away from home, and the location was great, literally 1 minute from the seafront: come out of the front door, turn right and you are there. We could also take our cat, which was a first for us. Smart TV, Nespresso machine, near folkstone, fantastic shower...the list goes on. Really well thought out. Local places to eat that we tried and recommend: The Lazy Lobster/The Lazy Shack, Cafe on the Beach, Noiy's Noodles, and The Waterfront - all we got to try in our week. Thank you for a brilliant stay - We will think of you when we want to visit Hythe again

We absolutely loved our stay at Southbeach, we'll definitely book it again when in the area. The place was perfectly clean and cozy, the location is beautiful with easy access to the beach and the place was available for early check-in on the day of our booking. We found it really easily and street parking was always available close by, usually straight in front of the flat itself. Additionally, Sal was incredibly nice, she left a welcome card and a bottle of wine, fresh flowers and has throughout been very helpful, making our stay all the more special.
