Perched high above Folkestone in the heart of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Old Toolshed is a spacious countryside hideaway made for slow mornings, starry nights, and switching off completely. Surrounded by rolling green fields, chalk hills, and with the coast nearby, this one bedroom lodge with King-size bed, is ideal for a break away for two adults. One friendly dog (perhaps keen on beer tasting?) will also find accommodation here.

Originally the farm’s working toolshed, the space has been transformed into a cosy space for two, curated restored pieces, handcrafted details, and warm interiors, and outside awaits a hot tub to unwind beneath the stars. Its vibrant interiors are inspired by the owners’ joie de vivre, fabrics and textiles in joyful colours and textures bring life to the space with a great sense of fun. Those who want to share in that vibe, can take a visit to the owners' nearby Folkestone bar in the buzzing Creative Quarter, The Blind Pig, where live music and some of the owners’ unique beer brews can be tasted, brewed nearby to The Old Toolshed.

Get beyond the hot tub and the scenic countryside walks, and you can spend your days exploring Folkestone’s vibrant Harbour Arm, packed with independent eateries, bars and events, from outdoor cinema nights to summer fireworks. Venture further to Canterbury or the wild beauty of the Kent coast, or simply step outside and follow the Elham Valley Way through sweeping chalk landscapes with views stretching towards the White Cliffs and Dungeness beyond.
