A magical weekend away 5/5
My partner and I had a wonderful and peaceful weekend away in The Romney hut. Waking up to the beautiful views of the local sheep and the sweeping marshes is something we will never forget.
The hut was incredibly well equipped, and it had everything we needed (I was especially impressed to find the kitchen stocked with a knife sharpener!)
The outdoor bath was a unique highlight, offering the perfect way for us to cool down during the 30 degree heatwave whilst soaking in the surrounding scenery. Our host, Kristina, was incredibly kind and even accommodated a last minute request to help with the lamb feeding. It was such a memorable experience getting to interact with her little flock.
We ordered the BBQ fish box, which was absolutely delicious cooked on the outdoor fire pit, and the thoughtful additional touches of milk, bread, and apple juice were hugely appreciated. I also really enjoyed using the Romney marsh products in the bathroom and will be purchasing some of the hand and body cream for sure!

Kentish paradise 4.8/5
Despite the heatwave, we had a very comfortable stay. Cosy double bed and our daughter loved the bunk bed.
Handy little kitchenette, and it's easy to have barbecues.
Our daughter loved looking after the baby lambs. Kristina kindly let her feed milk to them several times during our stay.

Not worth the hype 2.2/5
This is a difficult review to write, but an honest one. While there were genuine highlights the outdoor bath, the scenic views, and the beautiful sheep these were sadly overshadowed by poor communication and a lack of effort from both the owner and Bloomstays.
My daughter chose this stay based on the social media marketing, which heavily featured lamb feeding experiences. She has a deep love of lambs, and as this was meant to be a special 21st birthday getaway, it felt like the perfect fit. You can imagine our disappointment when she asked the owner about feeding the lambs, only to be told it had already happened at 7am with no prior notice or opportunity for us to arrange it.
This wasnt for lack of trying on my part. Over two months ago, I contacted the owner directly to enquire about the lamb feeding and made it clear I wanted to make my daughters birthday truly special. I followed up again the week before with Bloomstays, asking about an early check-in and whether I could arrange balloons, I wanted large helium ones which didnt seem to be a problem before I had booked. Only to be told it was too early to discuss. When they finally got back to me, several days before our arrival, I was then told I had missed the window because I hadnt responded immediately to their message. I genuinely thought this was a joke.
The birthday package they ultimately provided was an insult. A recycled banner, a handful of hastily blown-up balloons, a tiny bag of chocolates, and a miniature prosecco bottle. I was at least relieved it was offered for free given my disappointment because had I been charged the £15 price tag for that, I would have been absolutely furious.
The accommodation itself had several practical issues. It is listed as sleeping four, but this is misleading my daughter and I ended up top-and-tailing, as the bunk bed felt genuinely unsafe, with a wobbly, removable rail I wouldnt trust for a child, let alone an adult. The shower and toilet area was so cramped it was genuinely impractical. The outdoor bath one of the features we had been looking forward to did not appear to have been cleaned before our arrival, and the BBQ was visibly grubby. Smaller details added up too: a lantern that didnt work, fairy lights without batteries.
Ultimately, the marketing and hype simply did not match the reality. When I raised my concerns about my disappointment before arrival, I was made to feel as though I was asking for too much. For a stay sold as a special, memorable experience, the lack of care and follow-through was a real disappointment and not something I could recommend.

Very friendly welcome and relaxing stay 4.7/5
This was a lovely 2 night break for myself and my 11 year old son. The time of year was perfect for seeing the lambs in the fields right next to the hut and we enjoyed the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch steam railway too. The hut was more spacious than we imagined as well!

Well worth getting back to nature. A pleasant view as well. More home comforts than a shepherd would have had - certainly nice and cosy. The stove really puts out some heat. Give it a go, its a different accomodation!

I stayed for just one night and it was the most beautiful staycation Ive ever had! Being surrounded by the sheep, watching the sunset and sunrise it was like living in a dream!!
The Shepards hut has everything from airfryer to a hob so its full of amenities!!

We had the most wonderful stay at the shepherds hut with my fiancé and our son. Waking up surrounded by sheep and hearing the gentle cock-a-doodle-doo was such a beautiful experience. The setting is peaceful, with lovely surroundings that made it easy to relax and enjoy true quality family time. The sunken bath tub looking out at the sheep was a real highlight so unique and unforgettable. A perfect countryside escape well always remember. Thank you so so so much! Xxx

A total escape 4.3/5
Exquisite and peaceful Skylark setting. Sheep bleating, chickens pecking about. Superb local fish for the best sunset BBQ. Restful bliss, except .....
We desperately needed some sort of shade in the exceptional heat this week! Suggest an umbrella pole or an awning. Hut very hot indeed inside - day and night. We accept that the fans may be sufficient in more normal weather. Purchasing ice was a must when we arrived, as wine offered was warm (but tasted beautiful!).
Could have done with cups to fit the coffee machine. Walks superb, but needed clear instructions for route. Also, not sure how to get hot water in the shower. Perhaps instructions for this ought to be written, alongside those for the bath.
Wonderful Romney wool purchases, with generous discount and friendly service all round.
Sorry - but the bunk ladder is dangerous! Outside needed more attention before arrivals (cigarette butts / bottle top / candles expired).
Overall, a unique and special experience - thank you!!

What a unique experience! 5/5
We truly enjoyed our stay in the Romney and the Rumwold huts. We were on the Marsh doing some family history research and the location was perfect as it was right in the middle of land that belonged to our ancestors in the 14-15th centuries. Kristina was a truly delightful and friendly host, even allowing us to help feed the lambs the night we arrived. We purchased some products from her store as souvenirs and took some incredible pictures at sunset that we'll cherish forever. Would definitely recommend for a one-of-a-kind experience.

Lovely stay 5/5
Took my daughter to relax after her big exam and she loved it, we both did. Got to feed the baby lambs twice a day, hang out at our hut, relaxing, watching the lambs & sheep do lamb things. Was so, so peaceful and the perfect way to disconnect from city life. Watched the sunset, sat in the egg swing, cooked every meal on the fire pit (there is a hob and air fryer as well if needed). Slept so well!!!!! Food was amazing, really recommend buying the meat & fish options, all was fresh and absolutely delicious. There are plenty of options for hiking, etc., but we chose to relax only

Luxury Shepherds Hut With the Sweetest Neighbors! 5/5
a peaceful countryside escape, this luxury shepherds hut is an absolute gem.
Tucked away, the hut itself is beautifully crafted think wood-burning stove, plush bedding, and a dreamy little kitchenette. Every detail feels thoughtfully designed, from the soft romney wool blankets to the the surprisingly spacious living space.
But the real magic? The lambs. Waking up to the gentle bleating of lambs just outside the window was pure joy.
With it being lambing season, we were lucky enough to bottle feed abandoned lambs. Having with all our might to reframe from taking a lamb home ourselves.

Countryside getaway 5/5
We had a lovely stay at farm cabin,sitting by the fire,with the glass of wine,with cute lambs around!
We was welcomed with milk,butter and apple juice from Biddenden wine yards,bread,tea,coffee,marshmallows,etc.
At end of the day we had a hot tube with amazing sunset!
I recommend to everyone this cozy and lovely farm cabin in countryside!

Cannot fault this accommodation, the attention to detail, the level of equipment provided and the hosts information provided is absolutely fantastic. Having an OUTSIDE luxurious hot bubble bath with gold taps at the end of Jan was something different! Just be mindful it takes a while to fill but does run piping hot.
Dog blanket and treats left out for our Honey were a nice surprise.

We loved the Shepherds Hut - very cute and everything we needed! The children loved it! Location was brilliant too. Only downside was no hot shower in the morning - apparently we needed to press a button to turn on the hot water bit no instructions and by the time the host replied we needed to leave sans showers! Otherwise very lovely.

A wonderful short break away 5/5
We had a wonderful stay in the Romney Shepards hut. We are a family consisting of 2 adults and 1 child and this was our first experience of glamping.
The hut was beautifully decorated & very clean with everything you could possibly need included, such as pots, pans, a coffee machine, air fryer, toaster, robes, towels, toiletries etc. The owner has thought of so many special touches such as a torch, binoculars, little games etc to make your stay even more pleasant.
The location is perfect. We ventured into Dymchurch, New Romney, Romney sands & Dungeness where we visited the arcades, shops, cafes, beachfront & the RH & D railway. Everything is only a short drive away.
We stayed in November and it was plenty warm enough inside the hut during the night. There is a log burner but we found we didnt need it with the small radiator on. There is a fire pit outside with all the essentials provided to get a fire going, perfect for roasting marshmallows!
The outside bath - wow! This is the true star of the stay. A new experience for us all and one we all loved, even in November, we were able to run a beautifully hot bath and relax! The view from the bath and hut is lovely, with sheep and chickens roaming around!
Whilst there we had a question for the host, who contacted us striaght back and was ever so helpful.
Over all this was an amazing stay and we are hoping to come back again soon, perhaps in Spring to see the lambs next time!

Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side during our stay but it made it all the more atmospheric and cosy inside the Shepherds hut. We had all the amenities we needed and loved the thoughtful touches of tea, coffee, milk, bread and jam and more which as left for us. Our son loved being surrounded by sheep and chickens and absolutely loved the bunk bed! Christina was an amazing host, offering suggestions for dinner locally and treated our son to helping with feeding Larry the lamb in the morning. Thanks so much!

Stunning weekend 4.8/5
I want to start off by saying a HUGE thankyou to Kristina and co. for being so helpful with everything from way before my arrival till the very end. Anything we needed help with she was just a phone call away, we needed help with running hot water outside for the bath she was there within 10minutes with a bottle of wine in hand to say sorry for the inconvenience.
We took a chance on heading there early March hoping the lambs were there but unfortunately we were too early BUT that didn't matter as the stay was just as beautiful.
Location is great, a big tesco is only 15/20minutes away along with Ashford town, personally i wouldn't bother heading towards Hythe the place is a ghost town and very dated. We headed out one afternoon for a walk and stumbled across Lympne zoo which we were upset we didn't find earlier as it looked like more of a safari where you feed the animals from your Jeep.
The shepherd hut had everything we needed and i would definitely come back here so well done on creating such a gorgeous stay so thank-you.
The only criticism i can think of is when we had that awful weather Friday night, above the boiler can get really noise with the wind which made it hard to sleep but other than that it was unreal.

Stunning views of stars and beautiful accomadation 5/5
We had an amazing stay at The Romney with our little girl. From the luxury outside tub, to the fire pit for toasted marshmallows! We enjoyed every second. Our little girl adored the chickens that go around the field and the sheep. The breakfast box add on was delicious of fresh farm shop foods and the owner leaves lovely little touches (like bath robes and lush toiletries) that really go a long way to make the stay special! The stars are stunning to see on a clear night too.

Beautiful Getaway in nature 5/5
What a perfect location for a getaway surrounded by nature! The view across the fields with the company of fluffy friends was amazing. In the hut, absolutely everything was thought of - from wine to fresh bread and biscuits. The outdoor bath was lovely, and perfect for using during the day or night. We will definitely be returning!

Ideal short stay for ewe and yours 4.7/5
We stayed for one night in the larger hut and had a terrific time. With two boys (8 and 11) sharing the top bunk it wasn't roomy but absolutely fine for a short stay. They enjoyed the outside bath and the novelty of sharing the 'garden' with the farm's sheep.
Overall, the communication was good, the owners left us to it (which I liked), all facilities were new and clean and we were on the beach by 11am the next day.
Will probably return next year. A great base for the South Coast

Fantastically designed small cabin. Sheep and baby lambs all around, outdoor bath a wonderful touch even on a cold windy day. We had a bath under the stars and were kept lovely and warm. Bed comfy, everything clean. Lovely walks all around, though paths aren't clear at points.

My stay at the Shepard's Hut was beyond words. It had the best views, it was cosy and very cute with all the lambs and their mothers huddled round.
Any of my questions were answered so quickly by Kristina who was so helpful and gave me so many recommendations on what to do and where to eat.
If you are looking at booking I definitely would! It was super clean and the bath tub on the outside is to die for.
I was lucky enough to even feed one of the lambs which really rounded of the whole experience.

Such a beautiful place, surrounded by peace and beautiful scenery. There are so many homely extra touches provided such a jam, bread, milk, and wine and the owners are attentive and welcoming which made the stay feel so much more personal. Beautiful sunset from the huts. Being surrounded by the sheep with all there is also a bonus. Cant wait to book again!

Romney Shepherds Hut 4.8/5
Beautiful shepherds hut, clean, well stocked and in a great location. Children were invited to feed the lambs which was an added bonus.
Minor points - Microwave should be added to the list of facilities. Slippers are mentioned but we didn't find any. It would be nice if the toiletries were replenished on turnover.
It states that it sleeps 4! We were two adults and two children (7yrs & 3yrs) and one of us had to top and tail with the children on the larger bottom bunk. The photo is a little deceiving as the top bunk is only a single size. With there being no safety rail on the top bunk we couldn't risk putting a child up there. Luckily our children are only small, had they been teenagers we couldn't have stayed. So it needs to be clear that this hut is more suited to three people.

We had a fantastic stay, the room decor was fantastic and clean. The views and surroundings incredible. We will recommend and come back ourselves.
We had the breakfast add on, the sausages, bacon and eggs were top quality. The only small constructive criticism that I can think of would be the bread, a nice crusty loaf or sour dough would take this to the next level.
