Perfect weekend stay! 4.8/5

Beautifully appointed and maintained. Can’t fault Wheelwright’s for a short stay. Communication very good. Definitely recommended. Handy for activities we had planned in Hastings and Tonbridge. Thank you!

Fantastic 4.7/5

A beautiful house. We’ve been there with 2 adults and 3 children. Everything is nearby. Like the playfield, little supermarket and the pub. We liked all the colors in the house. The kitchen is comfortabel with a lot of crockery. If I need to give a tip. The only toilet is upstairs. That wasn’t great all time. But we managed. Also the bank in the kitchen is to high for the table.

New year visit 4.2/5

Loved the house very much . Very comfortable and beautifully decorated with amazing attention to detail . No issues with the house just the location is just a tad too far from Rye , Tenterden and other main areas . Not great for driving home to in the dark on the small country roads . This would not be an issue in summer

Wonderful short break 5/5

This petite cottage is the perfect place to stay - the property is just as good as it looks in the pictures and there were lots of small touches that really made a difference. There was a bottle of wine and some crisps to nibble on arrival, shampoo and conditioner in the shower, hairdryers provided, tea and coffee, salt and pepper, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, spare bin bags and loo roll. The owners have really thought through what makes for a good cottage experience. We simply couldn’t fault it!

Beautiful, 5/5

We stayed for four nights, when we arrived the cottage was immaculate and our toddler was so happy to see some wonderful toys and books left in the children’s room. The cottage is very well equipped, so comfortable and a very relaxing place to stay with a fabulous little park just a few minutes away. Would highly recommend as a very central place to stay to visit Rye, Tenterden and the beautiful vineyards in Kent.

Mixed Feelings 4.2/5

Firstly house was modern and tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and beds had lovely linen, nice towels. Downside for us! Fridge with a small ice box no good for long stays like ours when you want to get a good amount of frozen goods. TV too high on wall making Watching TV uncomfortable. Dining table arrangement awkward with only 2 chairs and other seating provided by cushions on cupboards which we found too high when sat at table. The low beam on entering the main bedroom meant quite a few bangs to my head when getting up in the night. The lightning in the bathroom activated by movement meaning once on it stays on for hours! The sliding door to bathroom which has a small hole to put your finger in to pull to close meant a couple of broken finger nails for my wife. Very complicated heating system if you want to operate and I'm a heating engineer! Nothing much in the area one dirty uninviting pub and a small local shop. So a lot of driving to go anywhere and do anything.

A lovely short stay cottage 5/5

Just a lovely stay in a comfortable and welcoming cottage. Oh and sorry I did not put the dishwasher on just before we left my fault apologise.

The cottage is beautifully furnished with many little thoughtful extras such as games and sewing equipment. Perhaps a little too expensive for it’s situation. However for us needing extra accommodation for a family get together it was perfect.

Wheelwrights cottage is stunning, the owner really does have class and a great eye for detail. We ended staying for 7 weeks in total and loved it.
