Escape to the idyllic countryside and enjoy a peaceful retreat at our charming Saltwood cottage, Bunny Cottage. Nestled in a quaint village, surrounded by glorious countryside, yet moments from the sea, easily allowing you to explore both. A wonderful choice for both couples and families looking for a breakaway in this beautiful part of Kent.

Step inside and be greeted by the warm glow of the fireplace, inviting you to curl up with a good book, with hand-picked pieces of furniture and artwork paired together for a welcoming and homely feel. The cottage boasts a fully-equipped kitchen, perfect for whipping up a delicious meal with local ingredients, and a dining area, open plan to the sitting room, for cosy meals in together, with doors leading outside to the small but perfectly formed, enclosed garden.

Hidden behind an unassuming door, ideal for families with young children, stairs lead up to two generously sized bedrooms finished in calming tones, with white bed linen and plump pillows offering you a peaceful sanctuary for a restful night's sleep. Beautifully finished, the spacious bathroom enjoys both a shower and a bathtub for you to unwind after a day of exploring.

A bijou, but perfectly formed, enclosed garden offers the ideal space for enjoying evening meals al fresco or simply soaking up the fresh coastal air. And with the nearby Brockhill Country Park and beaches just a short walk away, there's no shortage of opportunities to explore and enjoy the great outdoors.

Take a stroll through the nearby countryside and discover the breathtaking natural beauty of the area, with the glorious Brockhill Country Park a 10-minute walk away, or head to the nearby beaches to soak up the sun and breathe in the salty sea air. And for foodies, the Michelin-starred Hide and Fox restaurant is just a short walk away, offering a delectable culinary experience, whilst if a more low-key meal out or drink is what you fancy the village pub is a minute’s walk away. Equally charming, the coastal town of Hythe sits a few minute's drive away, or a 15-minute walk downhill, where you can delight in the independent restaurants, shops and cafes dotted along its historic high street, with a picturesque canal and long stretch of pebble beach both offering a beautiful backdrop for a stroll.

Saltwood is a charming village that offers a perfect mix of countryside and coastal living. If you're a nature lover, you'll love exploring the surrounding picturesque countryside on foot, with glorious Brockhill Country Park a short walk away, whilst the seaside town of Hythe is nearby should you be seeking the coast. For those looking for a traditional pub experience, you won't have to go far - the village pub is just a minutes’ walk away, where you enjoy a bite to eat or a drink after a day of exploring, and soak up the friendly village atmosphere, whilst for foodies out there, the Michelin-starred Hide and Fox restaurant is just a short walk away, offering a delectable culinary experience, with a tasting menu that showcases the best of local and seasonal produce.

If you're craving some time by the sea, the seaside town of Hythe is just a few minutes' drive away or a 15 minute walk downhill. Separating the sea from the quaint high street, the Royal Military Canal awaits, with a peaceful pathway along its banks and boats to explore on water some Spring-Summer. And when you are ready for the sounds of the waves, a beautiful walk from the high street, over the canal, leads you along a tree-lined walk along to the seafront. Whether you want to sit on the pebbles, stroll or cycle along the promenade, stretching as far as vibrant Folkestone, or sit in one of the beachfront cafes with lunch in hand, the choice is yours. Animal lovers will also enjoy a visit to the nearby Port Lympne Reserve Park, where you can get up close and personal with exotic animals and take in the stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Fabulous cottage. 4.7/5

Great cottage. Immaculate. Good area, quite a big walk to Hythe and the sea. Not good for anyone with walking limitations unless you are driving everywhere. Good walks out from the cottage, pub at end of the road. Parking easy, enjoyed our stay

Lovely cottage close to a nice seaside town 3.8/5

Bunny Cottage was a lovely property. It was clean and well looked after in a good location with good amenities. The parking was easy and free and less than a minutes walk away. Although it did state unloading was outside the property this wasn't actually suitable for us as there were potholes in the road and it was narrow so our car wouldn't have made it over them. The garden could also do with a little tlc as it's a bit unkept and there was a hole in the fence so If you had a smaller dog it wouldn't have suited. Overall though great stay and comfortable beds which is always welcomed. Snug for a family of four.

Cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings 4.8/5

A lovely getaway for the bank weekend, just to relax and unwind. The delightful cottage was thoughtfully decorated, put us at ease straightaway, with everything in tip top condition. Many attractions were within a short drive away. Great location with plenty to do. We walked to Hythe beach, a short drive to Lower Lea, Camber Sands and Great Stone beach. There were books and games as well, so you could curl up with a book or play board games.

Lovely Cottage 4.3/5

Sadly our stay was very brief due to a family bereavement. Only issue was awkward access for vehicles.
