Set along a quiet country lane just outside of Canterbury, this welcoming village house gives its guests nothing but fun. With a private swimming pool, covered hot tub, and games annex complete with table tennis and pool table, there’s plenty to keep your entire group entertained, whatever the weather. Sleeping up to eight guests, with one four-legged friend allowed to join the fun too, it’s a fantastic choice for those seeking an activity-filled home from home.
Beyond the garden, you’ll find direct access to woodland, making it easy to wander across the surrounding Kentish landscape and take in the views. Canterbury is just 10 minutes away by car, too, offering a wonderful blend of medieval streets, modern restaurants, river tours, outstanding theatre, and its much-loved Christmas markets. Prefer the sea? Whitstable’s famous oysters, or traditional fish and chips, are just a 30-minute drive away, its independent shops and long beach walk to Tankerton making it a really special place to spend some holiday time.
Back at the house, the open-plan kitchen and dining area brings everyone together around a large dining table – perfect for family and friend groups – while bi-fold doors open onto the beautifully-lit garden, making outdoor evenings just as inviting as those spent inside. The covered hot tub is a particular highlight, and becomes an even more appealing idea in the cooler months where you can relax protected from the elements.
Upstairs, four stylish bedrooms take their cue from boutique hotels, with beautiful beds, quality linens and smart decor throughout. With an en suite king room, en suite double, and two twin rooms, the flexible sleeping arrangements are perhaps better suited to multi-generational families or friend groups. Two air conditioning units meanwhile keep the smaller rooms comfortable – even in the height of summer.
With parking for three cars, Milcourt is a convenient base for multiple households exploring this beautiful pocket of Kent. A quiet, secluded home that’s ideal for family and friends – yet still well-connected to Kent’s major attractions.
