Situated on a small country estate, Badger has everything you need for a rustic Shepherds hut break in the country, the comfortable studio space is warm and welcoming with inviting armchairs for cosy nights in and a sumptuous double bed with luxurious bedding. The space-efficient kitchen comes equipped with all the essentials, or enjoy an alfresco BBQ in the garden overlooking the glorious country views. Once the sun goes down over the fields, get cosy, light up the fire pit and enjoy the peaceful solitude of the Sussex countryside.

Towels and Linen provided Wifi Wood and BBQ Coals are provided. Badger has no television - allowing the full switched off and unplugged experience. The car park is a little walk from your hut. The path is gravel, bark chip and grass. If you are arriving after dark, the path is lit and sign posted. Please note check in is 4pm and check out is 11am. Early check in and late checkouts may be available on request, subject to availability. Fees will apply. Please contact Bloom Stays for more details. Please also note the shepherds hut is located on the edge of a working farm and rural business estate, so some machinery may be present at times. Please ensure children are supervised at all times, and dogs are on a lead. There are 3 shepherds huts sharing the large field, the individual outside areas are mostly private.

Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit. Please ensure you check out on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests. Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time. Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the hut. For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property. Please note stag parties are not permitted. Please note quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am. Please be respectful to our neighbours.
We love to welcome your furry family members but please do not allow paws on our bedding. The blanket/towel provided should be used to cover the furniture or bedding so there are no accidental paws. Please do not allow dogs to sleep in the bed.
In the Area
The picturesque village of Withyham is situated within Ashdown Forest East Sussex, approximately 7 miles from Tunbridge Wells. Tunbridge Wells lies in the heart of the beautiful High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The High Weald has many picturesque towns and villages amid the rolling hills, ancient woods and open heaths. The area boasts many wonderful rural villages and traditional country pubs, along with walks galore and sights to see. Visit the historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells where you can browse amongst the independent shops in The Pantiles and High Street, enjoy the many local eateries and places to grab a coffee or a glass of wine, as well as being able to enjoy live music.
Situated in the heart of Winnie the Pooh country, you can walk to Hartfield Village where AA Milne wrote his classic stories. Play pooh sticks at the real Pooh Bridge or hunt for heffalumps and woozles in the 100 Acre Wood. ? The High Weald area is one of the best-preserved medieval landscapes in the country, steeped in history from Norman lords to Tudor ironmasters, poets, and rebels. Visit sites dating back to the Norman conquest, like Groombridge Place, Penshurst Place and Hever Castle. Follow the ancient river Medway on bike, foot or canoe in search of kingfishers, wagtails, herons, and the ghosts of smugglers past.
There is plenty to do in the beautiful countryside of the Weald including walking, cycling and horse-riding. Take a trip to Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest and explore one of the world’s best collection of conifers, head out for a walk or a mountain bike ride or fly through the tree-tops on the Go-Ape high ropes adventure trail.
