Meadow Sweet, a one bedroom Shepherds hut, sleeping two, was built by hand in Sussex but isn’t cool for its own sake - it’s desirable because it is so beautiful. Situated in a spacious rural plot on land belonging to the owner who lives next door, it’s their way of sharing the best Sussex can offer to their guests.

Not only does the hut have a brilliant bathroom, roomy double bed, a small, but beautifully formed kitchen, cute sofa and a log burner for those cosy nights in; outside guests can while away some time in the hot tub heated by the outside log burner or toast their favourite snack on the firepit. Surrounded by oak, birch and pine trees, it’s an idyllic place to get lost in the woods for a while then turn back with the promise of a freshly brewed tea or coffee (there’s a Nespresso machine in the hut) sipped whilst relaxing on the hammock or looking out at the view of the Sussex Wealden landscape.

From there in high summer you may just be able to smell the ‘meadow sweet’ almondy scent wafting across the Weald.
