If your staycation wishlist includes a hot tub, cinema room, and games room amid a countryside setting, then look no further: Old Harrow Barn delivers on every front.

Built on the site of a former Tyler barn, Old Harrow takes its design cues from the traditional farm buildings that surround it. From the outside, it fits comfortably within the landscape, but step inside and you'll see it's a very different story. A spectacular open-plan living space greets guests as soon as they enter, with heating underfoot, high-quality furnishings and plenty of light making sure you know this is a home that takes luxury seriously.

The kitchen is likewise impossible to ignore. Remarkably well-equipped (really, what doesn't it have?) and with a large centre island, there’s plenty of room for preparing meals and dining together. Stays here will inevitably extend onto the terrace, where the barbecue rarely gets a day off in the summer, and the hot tub is taken by the first people to remember they packed swimming costumes.

Entertaining is where Old Harrow Barn really goes above and beyond – after all, how many holiday homes can lay claim to a cinema room? A standout feature of the home, with floor-to-ceiling screen, star-lit ceiling, and oversized sofas, this is the space that has everyone agreeing on just a little more time spent here before bed. On the off chance that part of the group would prefer to keep score than watch a film, the games room has its own share of entertainment, with table tennis, darts, table football and a TV also readily available.

When it’s time to settle in for the night, five bedrooms – three en suite – provide luxurious sleeping arrangements that never feel crowded, even with 11 guests staying. Prepare to claim the master bedroom early, though! Looking out across the fields (and with a freestanding bath to make the most of the view), it's easily the best room in the house.
