For those chillier nights the cosy woodburning stove will keep you all warm, or snuggle up under a blanket outside with the fire pit roaring and watch the mesmerising star filled skies. With so many wonderful activities nearby, and the coast on your doorstep you’ll find it hard to leave!

The nearby Royal Military Canal was built to defend England during the Napoleonic wars and is now a perfect place for a relaxing walk whilst spotting kingfishers and other water birds. Romney Marsh itself is a wonderful place for bird and wildlife spotting. RSPB at Dungeness, the oldest of their reserves is also a fantastic spot for ornithologists. For history lovers the Historic Lympne Castle is nearby, as well as Port Lympne Wildlife Reserve. There's no need to bring your own bikes as you can hire bikes from Channel Bike Hire who will deliver to your accommodation free of charge - please ask for further details. For some retail therapy visit Hythe, one of the original Cinque Ports with its long high street of local shops, or for a day at the beach head to Dymchurch less than 4 miles away.
